Tontario X Leo Islo - Coexist

LAMP member Leo Islo joins forces with Tontario on an emotionally charged journey in 'Coexist'. The subtle crackle of a vinyl can be heard as Islo's soothing lyrics echo through the shrouds of a hazy, cavernous abyss. A soft piano chord calmly progresses resting underneath a thin layer of warm, ethereal synths that slowly crescendo into a collective auditory atmosphere. Soft shakers melt together with loose claps and other percussive layers to create an aqueous soundscape. The track looks to leave the listener with a renewed sense of clarity, unity and hopeful outlook on the world that is recurrently divisive.

Tontario's grasp for sewing the threads of talented vocal artists with delicate melodic compositions is acutely demonstrated in this latest collaboration with Leo Islo. The Finnish producer has clearly made his mark as well as a lasting impression on his audience that will resonate for some time to come.

Fly Boy Records favourites @myfrienduk are back with their ‘In & Out’ EP. 3 stand out tracks that flaunt the duo’s ever expanding ability to push the boundaries of dance music production.

We open with the gutsy title track ‘In & Out’ - a rolling melodic techno beast, donning sharp synth lines & crispy percussion underpinned by an earth shaking kick drum. A surefire weapon for lockdown DJ sets.

We move through the EP into ‘Everyday’ - chunky drums and a driving bass line push this club ready track forward, sprinkled tastefully with vocal snippets and countering synth lines to keep ravers and headphone listeners equally satisfied.

We finish up with the weird and wavy ‘Chicken Lizard’ - A real ‘journey’ track, with a pulsing, melodic synth progression taking centre stage. Reverbed FX, synth lines and vocals fill the sound spectrum, bringing us to a large pay off towards the end of the tune and rounding off this EP nicely.
