At a certain point in our lives we are asked to look at our story from a distance with the eye of the condor. Overlook your life high in the sky, without judgment, just behold as you are carried by wings of light. An icaro to realize the story that shaped us, a time to wake up and clear our view.
A song that awakens our visionary qualities. It invites us to see the truth without judgment. We gain ac-cess to our authenticity and are open to a clear look. Like the condor, high in the sky (the spirit of the sky), we are one of our inner spirit. Creative power manifested by clear intentions. Having a vision (focus) is needed to focus all your energy and make that vision come true. As a condor that rises above all else, you oversee your path without judgment and keep your focus on that which requires attention.

Ide Were Were is originally a traditional African song based on the ancient traditional chant for Ochún, the Orichá (goddess) of love from the Yoruba religion, which was practiced in what is today Nigeria and Benin. Taken by the slaves to the New World, it formed the base of the Santeria religion in Cuba and the Candomblé in Brazil. Like a black Aphrodite, her seductive and sensual power encapsulates the feminine ideal. In nature, she rules over rivers.
Praful’s much slower chill-out adaptation and harmonisation was recorded by the singer Deva Premal in the year 2000 and has since become a highly popular song in singing circles all over the globe. This is Praful’s first own recording, featuring guest vocalist Pernilla Kannapinn.
