Ethereally abounding tunes with silken chords held together. Bouquet of melodiousness assembled by Anasisana for Amulet of Tears.

White heat slowly lifting the curtain to greet the scenery of the mix - elegantly escorted and carried by delicate hands that shapes, rather than grounds - interferes into the porous air. All shades of drizzle from every branch drips and swells skyward.

Anasisana comes into the view with his thick glaze of cordial, soul-stirring music pieces which amass over each other - ardently, solidly, fervently.

In 2023 Bulgarian DIY booking crew and label Amek Collective celebrate their 15th anniversary. On this occasion, theyʼve prepared 60 minutes of unreleased music by artists and friends. This Amulet of Tears exclusive mix features new studio tracks by some of the label mainstays alongside various live recordings, sketches, and untitled bits from deep within the Amek vaults.

The Swedish musician Pechblende produced an emotionally resonant and intellectually compelling mix for Amulet of Tears. Drawn into a world of stark contrasts like a canvas for the mind, where solace and despair are constantly in flux.

The assemblage is cloaked in gritty grains, existing side by side in a delicate balance, each one vying for dominance over the other in the realm of contemplation and introspection, a visceral response to embrace the duality of our existence.

This month’s Amulet of Tears mix comes from Istanbul-based artist Ekin Fil, which is veiled in reechoing wind, freefalling from misty sky. 

The mix embodies acoustic qualities over tangibility of the spatial structure of turbulence - the sound, which unites phenomena, a vast world in yielding shafts, pliant brims with billows - stream of rush-hour merged into a single point.

Amsterdam-based, Finnish-born Elina Tapio is a DJ/radio maker/sonic researcher with a touch for
dark, cerebral sets infused by industrial atmospheres and psychedelic rhythms. Her style is rooted in
her interest in sound studies and philosophy, weaving contemplative narratives unfolding as
disembodiment and estrangement. She is a resident at Mutant Radio (GE) since 2021 co-hosting the
series “Scrying the Landscape” with Hannah Pezzack and onboarding May 2023 on Echobox (NL) for
a residency show with Julia Mira and Vanja Rakic. Some recent local club appearances include
Garage Noord, The Grey Space in the Middle, Radio Radio, in addition international ones at
Traumburg (DE), Sameheads (DE) and Flow Festival (FI).

Vaagner is proud to present the third and final installment of Jeremiah M. Carter’s album triptych, ‘Vessels’.

Spanning 6 pieces, each work feels like an integral part of the album's overarching narrative, fervently nestled amid divinity and humility.

By its final piece, 'Vessel X', which also clocks in as the longest in the entire triptych, we are treated to one of Jeremiah’s finest moments, and for a few seconds, it all comes together for one last swansong, forming a sonic distillation of elation and grief, desire and passion. – It’s all here.

Thoughtfully layered sound palette solidifying sharp and steady sustained tones, rising above analogue heft. Dissonant blurs of gently wavering stems twisted in a weightless vase - lubricious ties between palpable delicacy and vibrating allure.

 Jonas Raudonius comes from Klaipėda, Lithuania and is a member of the Black Wave collective, a series of podcasts and events dedicated to deep and hypnotic techno. On the contrary, his musical works are featured in theatrical performances & he is a part of the latest compilation on Amulet of Tears.

Melbourne duo @HTRK (Nigel Yang & Jonnine Standish) have a well-storied history reaching back nearly two decades. From a back-catalogue comprising of significant releases on imprints like @Ghostly International, Mistletone and Boomkat Editions, collaborations with luminaries such as Mika Vainio, Rowland S. Howard & @benfrost, and appearances at numerous key events around the globe (including the legendary @berlinatonal festival, Krakow's @unsound and Vivid at the Sydney Opera House), their impact on a vast array of listeners and scenes is indelible and difficult to overstate.

As a two-piece band, their melancholic, sensual music lies roughly at the intersection of post-punk, no-wave, shoegaze and art-rock, with influences from IDM, industrial, noise, dub-techno, pop and beyond. Indeed, it is this eclectic palette, combined with deep knowledge and curiosity that has recently seen them contribute a captivating ambient score for Jeffrey Peixoto's documentary "Over the Rainbow" and regularly deliver genre-defying mixes on platforms like @secretthirteen and NTS.

A starting theme and departure point for HTRK's Patterns of Perception 74 is the ocean. This intricately assembled collection of music finds a natural ebb and flow amongst rich, organic synths and delicate abstract melodies. Building from a slow and introspective beginning, the duo intuitively and carefully guide the narrative to also incorporate gentle energy and a sense of strangeness. 
Viewed holistically, this mix is invigorating and luxuriously diverse, with a true chameleonic quality that allows the listener to take something different from every listen.
