https://soundcloud.com/zerocrossingpoint aka Victor Morello is a music producer, sound designer and synthesiser specialist from France.
Formerly active as Ivort in the psytrance scene, Zero Crossing Point is a project exploring more abstract forms of music.
Relying more on moods and timbres than percussive elements, his music draws from ambient, film scoring, musique concrete as well as blending heavier and darker styles of club music. 
His process is based on crafting a large amount of sounds using various techniques, effects and obscure software to grow his personal library. 
The material is then assembled to create detailed compositions that aim to evoke imaginary worlds and strong feelings to the listener.
Video games and immersion through virtual worlds, are another influence to his work. He also develops his own games in his spare time, inspired by the late 90s aesthetics and design paradigms.

“What was a crucial sound experience in your life?”
Entering OHM club in Berlin for the first time while Goth Trad was playing “The Bug - Poison Dart feat. Warrior Queen”. Entering the club felt exactly like the club scenes you would see in 90-00s action movies.

MNEMOSYNE #016 -  ZERO CROSSING POINT

Psychic Liberation presents “Friendly CSA Compilations Parts 1 & 2”. A compilation in two parts consisting of artists orbiting the PL canon from around the world in an effort to raise funds for Roots Unbound Friendly CSA.

Roots Unbound (RU) is an abolitionist grassroots organization based in Brooklyn offering nature-based programming centered around food justice, therapeutic horticulture and ecological disinvestment to people in the NYC area with a focus on supporting and uplifting people impacted by the carceral system.

Friendly CSA is a cooperative, agricultural initiative that was mobilized to respond to the food apartheid within New York jails and prisons. Roots Unbound sends care packages of harvested produce that are
chosen by incarcerated folks via a newsletter sent out every month, by growing and collaborating with local New York City land stewards. This CSA is provided at no cost to the recipients, funds raised for this CSA will be used towards packaging, postage, printed materials for newsletters, and a P.O. box.

HHH is a new series of releases on Carpaccio Cathedrale coming from a residency called Hitchhiker. ⒽⒽⒽ residencies was created by Encastrable, an art duo who is part of Carpaccio.

The idea of HHH is simple: to invite an artist for a road trip by car, van or camping car, to produce music.
It's a great excuse to look for and create new forms with the guest artist.
Each artist is invited to make field recordings during the trip in order to compose tracks. For this one, the travel was between Nancy and Luxembourg. We visited a tuning car rally, a wasteland sanatorium, a racing circuit, a pet shop and a motorway area.

Where does fantasy end and reality begin? The dichotomy of the Apollonian and Dionysian nature of man represents our greatest inner duel - the dance of chaos and order, the struggle of mind versus heart, the battle of immaculate harmony and intoxicated euphoria; a lifetime of chasing one's wildest dreams and divine muses, raised to the heavens by sheer imagination, only to be washed ashore by the unrelenting waters of Earth, crashing against the jagged rocks of existence, faced only by one's own truthful reflection staring back from the indifference of the sea. That is our ultimate, inevitable fate: the futility of our desires, the certain tragedy of living torn between two tides. 

The Birth of Tragedy is a compilation in two halves reflecting the mythological symbolism of Apollo and Dionysus, descendants of Zeus. The first half presents the Apollonian form - order, harmony, clarity. The second half is Dionysian - a state of chaotic liberation without boundaries, driven by instinct, blinded bliss and disarray. The collision between these worlds unveils the drama that we find ourselves in.
