After 12 years in the game, Kissy Sell Out continues to be one of the most influential and globally respected names of the British dance music industry. With fresh projects evolving in 2018 as the label manager of Stepper Man and Lengoland, his bass house productions and world-class DJ mixing talents have forged the start of a second chapter in his vibrant and prestigious career. 

With his critically-acclaimed new album as KSO called “Style From The Westside” – described by UKF as “the realest bassline album you’ll hear all year” – Kissy has used his wealth of experience to shred up every old habit and signature sound he has honed in the past and re-written the rule book of electronic music production yet again. 

The list of collaborators featuring on the album reads like a who’s who of heavy-hitters in the current bassline and bass house scenes; including DJ Q, Darkzy, Dread MC, Pavv, JG, Tengu, Sam Supplier, J69, Jaikea, and The Wideboys. 

KSO’s lists of achievements in the music industry and public-eye are as long as they are astounding. He started at the tender age of 21 working on official game-changing remixes for A-list pop-stars such as Mark Ronson, Calvin Harris and Gwen Stefani (all while he was still at London’s Central Saint Martins art college), and went on to find success across the globe as an influential taste-maker at BBC Radio 1, global brand ambassador for Pioneer DJ, regular tour support act for The Prodigy and Fatboy Slim, as well as a unique music industry personality and public figure who can claim to have debated against Stephen Fry at Cambridge University and composed official music for the 2012 London Olympics ceremonies in Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace.

Bio: I started off like most, as a bedroom DJ back somewhere the 2000’s after a fateful trip to Ibiza with friends it made me realise that I had enough knowledge of the music I loved to try my hand at DJ’ing. 
After learning how to DJ and dropping beats for a couple of years both at home and at parties, I then began playing for Diffuseradio.com (worldwide internet radio station) weekly on a Thursday night. This show pulled good numbers and a good spread of listeners globally with people as far as South America, Asia and Australia regularly locking in to hear me play. 
This continued for around a year until I became Sunday night resident at Barcadia, Kingston. After running this residency for 9 months, I then went into partnership with DJ Rich Vibes, and began spinning the tunes on Saturday nights there as well, often hyping up the crowd with my deep and soulful house sets that went on well into the early hours of Sunday mornings. 
Sunday nights stopped when I got a day job in February 2011, but the Saturdays continued right up until December 2013 when Barcadia closed for business. I’ve also played for www.housefreaks.co.uk in the past, and has provided guest mixes for HousewreckazRadio.com amongst others. Recently, I’ve played at Rubicon Surbiton alongside Steff Vee (RIP bruv),  The Fridge (Wax) and Plan B (Malarky) in London alongside some of London’s top underground DJ’s and continues to spin the tunes down on the south coast of England at various locations. New nights are being worked on all the time in the local area, and I’ll happily travel to play out if booked in advance. 
House music is my preferred style, but having played in commercial environments like Barcadia, I’m also able to chop up my style and drop hip hop, classics, drum and bass and many other styles of music into my sets as I need to – I don’t just play what I like, I play for the crowd and am constantly watching them to make sure they are responding. 
Spring 2014 is already looking good as HouseHeadsRadio.com launches, and is set to be the finest underground house music internet radio station. We have some of the finest underground DJ’s from around the globe spinning all kinds of house from tech to deep to soulful to jackin right the way through to old skool. It really is a meeting of some of the finest talent the DJ community has to offer, and no show will ever be the same.
