The Fairweather Friends is an occasionally motivated creative outlet of Wesley Gleeson & his fairweather friends, based on the South Coast of New South Wales. 

The Fairweather Friends reached its pinnacle of success in late 2015 when the then duo of Wes Gleeson and Bill Elphick had a eries of gigs, which they were desperate to continue, but they dried up, coinciding with the release of their album, All Life's Weather.

Realising that he is unlikely to ever get another paid gig, Wes is content to publish his original music here for free where it will continue to be listened to by no one.

Soul, funk & blues songstress Lizzie Deane has a deeply soulful voice that emulates the sweet melodic and raw belting lines associated with the classic divas. With her warm persona and infectious performance style Lizzie contemporises her musical influences, that include Aretha Franklin, James Brown, The Jacksons, Etta James, Stevie Wonder & Otis Reading.
 
Having performed and toured with many highly-acclaimed artists including Pee Wee Ellis & Fred Wesley (JB Horns), Carleen Anderson, Martha High, Mica Paris, Kim Mazelle and Jocelyn Brown, as well as Boy George, Belinda Carlisle, Howard Jones and Just Jack, Lizzie Deane has a wealth of stage, TV, radio and session experience. She has now stepped out of the shadows with her fabulous band, to rave performance and album reviews. Whilst retaining a strong individual style of her own, Lizzie has drawn comparisons to Aretha Franklin, Dusty Springfield, Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, Lisa Stansfield and Joss Stone, 
 
Growing up in the Midlands, Lizzie gained a BA (Hons) Music Degree and Advanced Acting Diploma at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. Following classical training in her school and college years, her musical journey began with choirs and musical theatre, before a spell with various function bands proved to be the catalyst in changing her music career-path. Her voice evolved from a classical soprano into the powerful, soulful instrument she now possesses, enabling her to work with many of the respected artists that have inspired her. Lizzie puts her own stamp on the renowned classics whilst showcasing her own songwriting talent with her original music.


Playing from the heart of his Midwestern roots, Jer Gregg delivers a vibe heavily influenced by singer/songwriters, a la Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and Jeff Buckley. He also takes his cues from his home state of Indiana, where John Mellencamp is legend. Add in the drive of the Black Crowes, a little country influenced songwriting (currently residing in Nashville) and you’ve got his brand of rocking, Americana music.

Jer released his first self-titled EP in January of 2010. It’s a record that has served him well as a spring board for his career. His latest release, OTIS (named after his grandfather),  produced by Thom Dougherty (The Elms, The Band Perry) along with himself, has been doing well on the singer/songwriter charts. It’s an all acoustic album written mostly about his family, love, life and death.  At times OTIS can make you weep with a joyous tear on ballads like “Little Bird”  and  “The Queen Mary” but then twist back to Americana pop songs with “Parachute” and “It’s Called Love.” Keeping the album as stripped down as possible allows Jer to show off his wonderful ability of crafting infectious sing-a-long tunes while telling beautiful and heartfelt stories.

Jer is becoming an international artist, having performed in the UK, Scotland and Australia while adding more countries to his calendar this fall.  Jer has played legendary venues like The Vogue Theater in Indianapolis, the Exit/In and The Basement in Nashville, the Troubadour in London, the Winton Outback Festival in Winton, Australia and many others – sharing his stories around the globe.

He’s a story-teller. Like Petty and Dylan who came before him and Ryan Bingham and Ray LaMontagne who are doing it now, Jer is telling his tales through his music. He smartly surrounds himself with players who can deliver and have first-class playing credits in their own right. He gives his all each and every night he’s on stage and doesn’t stop until the lights go up. It’s a show that garners attention while inviting the audience to join in. You don’t just “watch” Jer perform – you experience it.

A gifted guitarist, live performer and hit songwriter, Mark Selby's career is one of unusual depth and diversity. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Selby has written career-defining songs for artists in multiple genres and frequently contributes signature guitar work to 'Music City' recording sessions. As a solo artist he's earned critical acclaim and a devoted international following, carving out an earthy, gritty sound steeped in blues and rootsy rock.

A native of Oklahoma, Selby earned a degree in guitar and music composition at Fort Hays University in Kansas.  He landed a publishing contract soon after moving to Nashville in the 1990's, writing songs for major artists like Wynona Judd, Trisha Yearwood, Lee Roy Parnell and the Dixie Chicks, who scored a Grammy-winning number one hit with "There's Your Trouble," written by Selby and his wife and frequent collaborator, Tia Sillers. Selby may be best known for a string of #1 Mainstream Rock singles co-written with blues-rocker Kenny Wayne Shepherd, including "Blue On Black," which topped the chart for a record-setting 17 straight weeks and was named Billboard Magazine's Rock Track of the Year.  

In 2000, Selby signed with Vanguard Records as a solo artist.  He produced his debut, More Storms Comin', with Brent Maher, setting the template for Selby recordings to come: passionate songwriting, soulful vocals and plenty of searing, toneful guitar work. The album launched the rock radio hit “She’s Like Mercury” and was followed by the critically-acclaimed 2003 release, Dirt, which Rolling Stone called an “exceptional sophomore CD,” and Vintage Guitar summed up as "11 of the best tracks of rock and roll we'll hear this year." American Songwriter proclaimed Selby “in the same league as Bruce Springsteen, with meaty words, a compelling voice, and tracks that have more groove than a vintage vinyl record.”

Selby released a solo acoustic album, Mark Otis Selby…and the Horse He Rode In On (2006) for the German ZYX/Pepper Cake label, and returned with his band for Nine Pound Hammer (2008). Most recently, he released a live concert CD and DVD entitled One Night in Bonn (2009), recorded at the legendary German television concert series Rockpalast during his last European tour.

Touring regularly over the past decade, Mark Selby has performed with everyone from Jeff Beck (2003 European tour) to B.B. King, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Collective Soul, Levon Helm and many others. He returns to Europe in May 2010 with his powerful three-piece blues-rock lineup (featuring Daryl Burgess, drums and 'Chopper' Anderson, bass) for a four-week run of festival and club dates. Upcoming American performances include the Guitar Town festival in Colorado in August 2010, which will feature Selby's band for the sixth straight year.




PapaPatty is a Terre Haute - based musician who mainly plays the saxophone, but also some keyboards, percussion, and guitar.  The name is after his son Patrick who died in 2006, who is missed greatly and loved even more.  PapaPatty is also a founding member of the (now defunct) jam bands Building 7 and Papa J. Otis.  You can find him sitting in with other bands or playing solo on the street once in awhile.

With 15 he visited his first Techno Party and inspired by the music he decided to learn mixing one year later. He practised very hard & soon he get his first little privat GiG´s on Partys in his friendship, then more requests & more & more. His first BiGiG was 1999 in Bamberg/Ger. a Party before Love Parade ´99! Then he played in some Clubs & many Party´s from 1999-2008!

After a few successful musical projects in California and Florida, Keith transplanted himself in Colorado and decided to start performing on his own. 
Drawing influences from Elvis, Gregory Isaacs, The Parliament Funkadelic, The Talking Heads, Earl Scruggs, Dr. Dre and Otis Redding, he loops guitar, percussion and vocals creating the dynamics of a full band. The result is funk-soul-reggae-grass. I hope your eardrums and retinas are pleased!

Grew up skratching in a Sacramento bedroom since '99, then a Computer Music & Applied Mathematics degree via UCSD, a few years of gigs in LA, summer DJ residencies in Asia, NYC/BK styles & life for a few years, and now I'm here. Rockford, IL-based Miles Nielsen has spent nearly a decade enthralling audiences with music that draws force from the prime years of Western-influenced rock music and classic ‘60s soul. Claiming influences as diverse as Otis Redding’s classic soul and Jellyfish’s cult power pop recordings, Nielsen has thus far released two albums – his debut in 2009 as a solo artist, and then his sophomore album in 2012 as Miles Nielsen and the Rusted Hearts – to critical acclaim and an ever-growing fanbase. The Rusted Hearts’ hot streak will continue this year with their upcoming third LP, Heavy Metal.
