Peter Peyman Farzinpour enjoys a diverse career as a conductor, composer, multimedia producer, music professor, and arts entrepreneur. He is currently the Executive / Artistic Director and Conductor of the new music and multimedia group, ENSEMBLE / PARALLAX as well as Director of Farzinpour Creative Multimedia Ventures. He has traveled and conducted throughout major concert halls in the United States, Canada, and throughout Europe where he has conducted in France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Czechia, and Bulgaria. He is equally at home with the classics, as well as adventurous, avant-garde music, much of which he has commissioned and premiered, not to mention world and rock music (where he got his start as an electric guitarist!). A hallmark of his performances are collaborations with world-renowned multimedia artists, as well as choreographers and dance companies. His group, ENSEMBLE / PARALLAX, has become the first music ensemble to commission and perform each of its compositions with a new, multimedia work created exclusively for each composition.

Farzinpour started his career with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and continued as Director of New Music with the LA County Museum of Art, where he was responsible for creating innovative concerts that were awarded first place by ASCAP/Chamber Music America for Adventurous Programming of Contemporary Music. He has previously also served as Music Director and Conductor of Erato Philharmonia in Los Angeles, which was dedicated to performing standard and contemporary classical repertoire alongside multimedia, dance, and live painting. He has also served as the Music Director and Conductor of the Rivers Symphony Orchestra and the Waltham Philharmonic Orchestra in Massachusetts, and has also held the position of Conductor in Residence with Opera Cabal, with which he led the world staged premiere of the Georg Friedrich Haas opera ATTHIS at the Kitchen in NYC. The sold-out performances were hailed as a “mesmerizing production” by the New York Times.

Pietro Dossena (M.A. Composition, Ph.D. Musicology) is a composer particularly interested in the exploration of inter-art relationships from a poetical and semiotical standpoint.

Ana Topalovic is a special artist: Through her expanded, synaesthetic sensory perception, music opens up to her not only in the dimension of sound but also in visual impressions and thus literally gains color and shape. This rare gift enables Ana Topalovic to discover hidden relationships in music - within the composition itself but also between ostensibly very different works. In this way, highly interesting concert programs with surprising combinations of old and new are created.
For Ana Topalovic it is also a matter of course not to understand music in isolation, but to relate it to other art movements: Whether dance, drama or the visual arts - Ana Topalovic builds bridges between genres. Her particular preference for extraordinary performance techniques comes into play here.

When one cello sounds as a whole orchestra.
Using extended techniques on cello and latest audio equipment, Ana layers her live performance to an immersive sound world. Her groundbreaking explorations on cello are at once modern and timeless. She creates landscapes of sounds which are ethereally gorgeous, sometimes weird and serene, but always honest and direct.

Highly awarded for her solo performances, Ana premiered her works in Carnegie Hall, Wiener Konzerthaus and Musikverein, Gasteig in Munich. With this latest project, by creating a suite of multi-dimensional, otherworldly pieces, Ana has refreshed the language of cello music.

Since their foundation by Peter Burwik in 1971, ensemble XXI. jahrhundert is one of the leading ensembles of new music in Austria.

Hailed as a “saxophone sorcerer and sonic alchemist” (Google Gemini) and acclaimed for his “ethereal saxophone playing” (Vital Weekly), Dylan Ward is a musician/improviser/sound artist specializing in contemporary music. Ward has released recordings on the Neuma, Mother Brain, and XAS record labels that have been described as “meditative, jarring, and cosmic…highly creative” (Take Effect Reviews), and praised for presenting music that is “clear and coherent in its discourse, original in its sounds, and as beautiful and intellectually stimulating as it is playful” (Pan M 360). Ward has performed nationally at the Bang on a Can LOUD Weekend Festival, Eighth Blackbird Creative Lab, NYC Electroacoustic Music Festival, and Mostly Modern Festival, and appeared in venues including Lincoln Center, Constellation Chicago, Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, Mesa Arts Center, and Sheen Center for Thought and Culture.

In July 2022, Ward released his debut solo electroacoustic album, Tourmaline, through Neuma Records. The album explores ideas of sonic transmutation and alchemy, featuring music by Alexandra Gardner, Viet Cuong, Seth Andrew Davis, Kenneth Michael Florence, and Emma O’Halloran. From the Cave of Crystals to the cosmogonic Ogdoad, from Paul Klee’s depiction of the Angel of History to the structure of a Michael Jordan documentary, Tourmaline covers a wide range of creative concepts in pursuit of the alchemical magnum opus. 

Ward holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Missouri–Kansas City. His creative work has received support from the NC Arts Council, Charlotte Arts & Science Council, City of Charlotte, Infusion Fund, Foundation for the Carolinas, UMKC School of Graduate Studies, Charlotte Street Foundation, Semans Art Fund, Thomas S.
