Young Irish-producer Rebūke continues his rapid ascent to the top with two original productions on Hot Creations, primed and ready for the dancefloor.

Rebūke recalls being worried that Along Came Polly may have been perceived as being “a bit too weird”, but once it caught the attention of Jamie Jones, there was no stopping it. He says that the hype surrounding this EP “is something I’ve never experienced before...and it always get a great reaction”.

On Along Came Polly, Rebūke showcases his innate ability to craft a weirdly, wonderful slice of techno. On the B-side, Rolo is a much housier affair, weaving together a bouncier bassline and sultry vocal stab.

The alias of Reuben Keeney, Rebūke, has only been in business for a short while, but his efforts have already proved to be fruitful. He has garnered support from the likes of Nic Fanciulli and released on labels including Saved and DFTD, as well as having a successful club night under his belt, where highly regarded names such as Camelphat, Darius Syrossian, Ejeca and Huxley have all played.

What is the Perfect Driver Tour Bus? 

We would like to be the first independent dance music record label to take our show on the road. Literally. With help from supporters, label-head Matthew Anthony will be customizing a Sprinter Van to pick up artists in one city to play shows in the next while remote operating the label in an ongoing Perfect Driver tour. See link to crowd-funding campaign below.

Our goal is to give Perfect Driver artists and fans a one of a kind experience. A #VanLife styled road trip where the DJ plays shows in big cities, small towns and everywhere in between, all while producing music in a mobile recording studio. Picture the Perfect Driver high-top Sprinter Van at a local art show or skate park with artists performing from the back. Or our #DJsAndCooking web-series broadcasting live from festivals. Imagine pit stops in National Parks while documenting artist & industry conversations on YouTube or Patreon for subscribers. Our plan includes playing quarterly shows in major markets.

If you're a Perfect Driver artist, we want to bring you on the road. If you're a show promoter or venue, we want to talk about working together. If you're in the media, we want you to help us get the word out. If you're a dance music fan or in the industry, we're asking for donations and partnering with sponsors. As we strive to meet our goal by fall 2019, we'll be happy to hook you up with goodies in return.

Drawing from the well of inspiration that got him to this point, zacheser's 2018 album 'Phases' was a personal exploration into electronic music. So it comes to no surprise that for the remix package, the Chub Rub label boss would dig deep and handpick some of his favorite people to flip his album debut.

A veritable who's who of rising stars and champions in the electronic music scene, 'Phases Remixes' features Chub Rub family and friends, both old and new. Fady D and Bagel both stun with their infinitely danceable nudisco and DFA-inspired remixes while Proper Villains channels his inner U.K. spirit with his garage take of "Tiny Furniture." Johnny 2 Shots aims for the feels with his melodic tech version of "The Tide." Two Tails, El Monk, and Grensta all make their Chub Rub debut with their respective peak hour monsters and Bunk Buddha, known for their wonky bass, comes in hot with their drum-n-bass version of "Grinding On Me." We created this track messing around in the studio while under lockdown a few weeks ago. As it grew arms and legs we realized it was not only relevant to the times we are currently living in but also contained an important message.

So we decided to make it available for a small donation, with all money received being donated to The American Nurses Coronavirus Response Fund - which provides assistance to frontline nurses who are putting their lives on the line to protect our own.
