Wow! What a weekend. Last year I had so much fun playing at the Silent Disco in the campground of Nocturnal Wonderland that I asked to do it again this year and graciously Insomniac Events made it happen. The crowd was even larger than last year and I closed out Saturday from 3-4 am. I also was able to play inside the festival at the new Camp OG Stage  the next day. This is my set from the Silent Disco. Some new stuff, some classic stuff and some fun stuff all rolled into one. I hope you enjoy it.

My first attempt at mixing a proper demo. Mixed by yours truly. Mastering by Chris Berls. One of the most sought after DJs in SoCal & one of the highest rated stolen CDs at the time. Yes, this mix was stolen from record stores, tanning salons, you name it... people loved it that much. A favorite of clubbers who frequented Club Rubber, After Hour Power, Nympho at Sky Sushi (this demo was the catalyst for him becoming the head resident DJ at this club where the promoter Angie dubbed & donned him with the name - Mad Hatter or Da Mad Hatter depending on the flier), The Garage at Last Man Standing was another venue where Carson/Mad Hatter played every weekend on the main stage & occasionally a funky house set in the side room with Rhino; Afterburner  in OC was another spot, Club 7969 in West Hollywood playing after-hours for TJ Hoban (Club Crasher) & Rod from LMS-The Garage, The Sunset Room for Chris Wayne, TeknoClub in DTLA, Club Red, & just about anywhere that had a pair of Technics 1200 (vinyl direct-drive turntables) including Calgary & Edmonton, Alberta, Canada for after-hours with Mike Downey & Promoter Gary. 

Having never played UK Hard House before, Carson (Mad Hatter) brought his experience as an acid house & funky breaks DJ into this mix with scratching & multi-layered sampling of hip hip vocal drops. 

Mix graciously saved by Hamlet (a promoter) who booked Carson/Mad Hatter for Tuesday night weekly Twisted in Artesia where he first met OZ Vander who would later become a colleague and a friend. 

This mix truly built bridges and formed friendships that will last a lifetime.
