London based @Hyasynthe pulls up slowly building delight, Aurora. Particles shuttle around in the upper atmosphere, causing reddish and green hues to dance, all as that same sample loops over and over, building, waxing and waning. How can the producers use of Ableton 10, 808’s and your own heartstring have such an effect on the magnetic pole of the earth? we're completely unsure. 

We never thought something with so emotionally driven, and many hued could be birthed from someone hailing from Milton Keynes; what some call the Jewel of the Buckinghamshire heartland, but most consider the complete antithesis. Opposites attract, we suppose but this sonic sonnet is one to be saved, that’s for sure.

The lagoon was beautiful and isolated, he looked down from atop a cliff face at the shallow pool below. Soon he would bathe in the dense blue waters and swim in the warmth of the ocean. He began to make his way down the dusty old footpath into what he would describe as paradise bay. To the locals it was known as Casa Iguana but to him it was simply a little piece of heaven, a place he would hold dear to his heart until the day he dropped dead. There was not a single soul around, nobody else but him on earth in this moment. He began to swim...

Originally from Brisbane, and having released music on Nerang Recordings and Inhale Exhale, DJ Dream Machine has chosen to hone his talents in the frostier climates of nipaluna/Hobart.

His stellar track 'Think About U', featured as part of our recent compilation Neu Hörizöns Vol. I [NH001], has racked up 10,000+ listens across Soundcloud and Youtube. The track combines shimmering glissandos with well-tuned breaks, and straddles the line between club track and heady home listen perfectly. A rotor-reverie beat that's intersected by a throwback vocal; it's a shining example of what's heating up in our southernmost city.

Only U [NH004] fires the first shot with its title track; infused with the belief that you're the greatest dancer, set amongst the smoke and haze of a antipodean dance-floor. 'A4Pad' features breathy shimmering synth lines riding on top of a driving breaks pattern. The offbeat hi-hats and grounded rhythm of 'Deep Breath' invokes cruising round on ice buggies by Davis Station. The release is rounded out by the infectious 'B is for Bubble', which echoes back to the 90's dance music scene in Brisbane.

"2020's tense, tectonic unrest is a fitting foreground for Andrew Morrison's freshest slab of bruised and blasted Cyclist productions, Weather Underground. Like their ravaged revolutionary group namesake, these tracks exude a mood of strife, shadows, and smoke, simmering protest transmissions from the grim north. The songs smear shades of industrial hypnosis, basement dub, and soul lament within his signature saturated “tape throb” palette like tagged concrete stained by tear gas. Rhythms of release and resistance, bodies in motion on the edge of the storm, coiled to strike for futures too unthinkable to lose."
