'The latest release on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records is a scintillating package, which brings together two titans of the progressive scene. The EP features two progressive house legends; Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren alongside their collaborators Soundexile and Nicolas Rada. They have both remixed tracks taken from the most recent Hicky & Kalo EP 'Borealis'.

It's been quite a ride for Hicky & Kalo in the last 18 months. The young duo have made a name for themselves in the progressive house scene with a string of quality releases, including a collaboration with Seth Schwarz and releases on Hernan Cattaneo's label Sudbeat and Cid Inc's label Replug. In the meantime, they were remixed by both Rodriguez Jr. and Sahar Z. The reaction to their latest EP 'Borealis' was quite something and the title track was even in the Top 100 Beatport Progressive House for 67 days.

With this powerhouse remix EP now on the way, it is surely the cherry on top of a momentous last 18 months. We hope you enjoy it!'

The rapidly thriving onedotsixtwo label launches its 2020 campaign with yet another essential release, this time from the multitasking main man himself, Tripswitch, who has masterminded an incredible refreshing of his classic ‘Box Fresh’ track, having enlisted the studio skills of Emi Galván, Forerunners and Nicolas Rada, alongside him on remix duty.

“‘Box Fresh’ was a really significant track for me when it first came out on the ‘Propulsion EP’ in 2014. It was one of the first progressive tracks I wrote where I felt I’d successfully struck the right formula between my own production style, which was more rooted in epic, euphoric chillout, and an up-to-date progressive house sound.” - Tripswitch

The original track’s significance (represented by the 2020 Remaster in this new package) grew exponentially when it became one of the first Tripswitch tracks (after his remix of Seamless ‘Castle In the Sky’ on Section Records) that Nick Warren and Hernan Cattaneo really hammered in their sets and was thus pivotal in establishing Tripswitch on the progressive path, ultimately leading to the birth of onedotsixtwo.

With an ethos to seek out and feature the finest world-class talent within the underground progressive house scene, Tripswitch has teamed up with rising Argentinian superstar Nicolas Rada (who is making a huge impression on the scene right now) to open proceedings. This creative dream team’s ability to tease out the essential original mind-blowing beauty of ‘Box Fresh’ with their deeply delicious 2020 ReFresh is quite astonishing. By composing a magnificently subtle, tantalizing, soaring, new melodic masterpiece, they set the stage perfectly for this truly outstanding remix package.

Another Buenos Aires resident, the exceptionally multi-talented Emi Galván, brings his own unique vision to ‘Box Fresh’. Emi has earned a reputation as a kind of crown prince of uplifting electronic music and here he injects his infectious blend of bounce and funk to proceedings to launch the track to a higher level of energetic abandonment, juxtaposing irresistible melodic hooks with euphoric percussive flourishes to create an absolutely monstrous dancefloor experience. Arizona USA’s Brenden LaBonte (aka Forerunners) makes a welcome return to onedotsixtwo with his outstanding remix. Because Sharing Is caring, here is one of the highlights of Hernan Cattaneo's SunsetStrip Buenos Aires, a very simple mashup that contains mainly one of my remixes from last year i did for Sebastian Sellares on Or Two Strangers  and some parts from all time progressive classic John Creamer and Stephan K feat Nkemdi "I wish you were here".  So basically Hernan played it and a 18.000 crowd went off :D

Fresh from providing Nātiv Records’ first-ever release last year via Freedom Call / Electro Shock, renowned UK artist Nick Warren has made an anticipated return to the label  with Dead Eyes Opened. The three release is a collaboration with Argentinian producer Nicolas Rada.

Nick described how his formative club years were an inspiration behind the release, stating: “I can remember dancing to Dead Eyes Opened by Severed Heads in a nightclub called The Coven in Oxford in the early 80's. I loved it and have always wanted to do a cover. I finally got around to copying the melodies and Nic Rada loved the idea, so this is what we came up with.”

Nick Warren & Nicolas Rada - Dead Eyes Opened

Rising out of Argentina’s electronic underground are the elusive duo Analog Jungs. Created by Claudio Cornejo and Gustavo Ruarte, Analog Jungs was born out of a love for rhythm, groove and melody. Taking inspiration from the likes of Cid Inc, Guy J and Henry Saiz, the Cordoba residents first emerged in 2015 with ‘Anubis’, a track co-produced with fellow countryman and progressive music star Antrim. Well received by fans and contemporaries alike, it set Analog Jungs on a course for aural enlightenment. World class DJs Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren quickly became the duo’s biggest supporters, showcasing their music at the world’s largest electronic festivals, such as Burning Man, Tomorrowland and Woodstock 69. Not only recognized within the progressive scene, electronic music maven John Digweed also took a liking to the duo’s work, featuring it on his hugely popular Transitions Radioshow alongside the likes of global stars Eelke Kleijn, Sasha and Yotto. The duo’s colourful, club friendly sound was further recognized by Nick Warren in 2019, when the much-loved DJ invited
the duo to work on a remix for his revered The Soundgarden imprint. A bond with Antrim was nurtured further as well, as the Argentine’s fast rising Or Two Strangers imprint became a comfortable home for the duo’s enigmatic work.
2021 proved to be a breakout year for Analog Jungs. On the strength of a remix for Israeli duo Golan Zocher & Choopie, Analog Jungs vaulted into the top ten progressive house artists on Beatport, a spot generally reserved for the genres most prolific artists such as Alex O’Rion, Cristoph, Kamilo Sanclemente and Stan Kolev. Impressive company to be in, and a true indication that the Cordoba duo has matured into sophisticated artists with depth and consistency.
Also beloved as DJs, Analog Jungs have long been recognized for their impeccable taste and exquisite programming skills. The duo continues to mesmerise club goers across their homeland, performing at sold out showcases at the countries premiere venues, while sharing the booth alongside top talents such as Guy J, Patrice Baumel, Blancah, Darin Epsilon, Khen, Marc Marzenit, Mariano Mellino and Mike Griego. The culmination of years of hard work and a keen dance floor vision
have taken Analog Jungs to new heights with each successive year, and now as the world continues to open back up the duo sit as one of those rare acts whose music caters to the mind, body and soul.
