This was recorded live at Boomtown Fair near Winchester with 30,000 in attendance at the whole festival - We were asked to play an Acid House and Old Skool set on the Arcadia Spider which has been a favourite of mine for a few years now having played the same stage at Glastonbury in 2011 and Bestival 2011/2.

In answer to the questions I keep getting asked.
 ccai pt2 , part 1 is Drukqs, as that was the first thing I released that utilised computer controlled instruments, namely a modified Yamaha disklavier, 2nd gen and a couple of midi controlled solenoid based drum mechanisms I made just after I got the Disklavier.

I kept seeing them [disklaviers] in hotels, usually used to pipe muzak around the place and thought why doesn't anyone actually use one of these to compose music on and make beats etc! 
A couple of times when i saw them in hotel lobbies, i sneaked up to the disklavier and set it to play ultra low pitch and very slow, funny watching peoples reactions, it was down every corridor etc
NOBODY i spoke to back in around 1999 inc. people at yamaha knew how to connect one of these to a computer and I had to take my computer into Yamaha to try it out to see how fast these things could go, no info on the net then either.
The first year I burned out countless solenoids in the thing and learnt how to repair them myself, the more recent gen ones like I used at the barbican have temperature cut outs on them thankfully, i’ve still fried a few though!

When it comes to acid & electro, it's a sure shot to bet on dutch 030303 imprint for exquisite quality. Their next 2XLP compilation is no exception. Ranging from regular artists of the label (Rolando Simmons or Global Goon) they display a vast array of newcomers on this one. Hailing from Brunnen in the center of Switzerland are the Echo 106 brothers. Known by the freaks for their excellent past releases on Jamal Moss "Mathematics" or Zurich based "Lux Rec" label, its their first offering for 030303 and not a filler but a killer !

"It's very direct, danceable club music, anchored stylistically between Electro, Techno and Industrial/NewWave, strongly influenced by '80s acts Liaisons Dangereuses, CH BB, sporadically, DAF and the Consumed /Concept period of Richie Hawtin." is how Hanno Leichtmann describes his new project Gesetz Der Oktaven. "The name 'Gesetz Der Oktaven' was chosen because I wanted something very German sounding, as we say 'sperrig', something technical, scientific. All the track titles are very old skool or obsolete studio/audio terms. "I wanted a completely new set-up, so I got a large Soundtracs desk from the 80s with 16 channels and, crucially 6 Aux Sends for effects." He continues, "The large number of aux sends was essential for the project. I used a drum machine, a MiniMoog sequenced by a TB 303, a vintage Drum Synth and six 6 effect combinations for the delay / reverb tracks. All very old-skool and in real time with no plugins. It took months of trial and error but the result is a very beautiful high-quality vintage studio sound."

Gesetz Der Oktaven - Verpolung - Third Ear Recordings

An intense introspection of sound deconstructionism and spacial dissonance presented in this 4 track (plus 2 lock grooves) EP entitled Nonharmonic Beautifault. 

The A Side is introduced with the track 'Blank Hand', a sludge fuelled walk into dusty audio bites and asthmatic rhythms, topped with screaming hoovers and TV static that at once builds up, collapses into beautiful cacophony. Leading us into the 'Body Molecule' - A rushing pad and sparkling percussion pinned to a rolling kick pattern that drives this track toward a central point of attacking synths and swarming soundscape. The run out locked groove features a deep distorted kick that loops into infinity. 

The other side starts with 'Angular Beautifault'. Acidic Rhythms and Buzz Saw Synths all washed together into a shimmering reverberated cavern that explodes with high powered clap patterns and bubbling 303 lines. Following this we have 'The Burin' - an uncompromising, high paced assault of power kicks and slanted percussion. Incessantly driving and unyielding towards the final lock groove of distorted sub loop. 

Nonharmonic Beautifault represents a shift in Positive Centre's work that aims beyond the delicate ambience into harder and darker sound territories. 

Nonharmonic Beautifault EP will be released on 12" vinyl and digital on February 19.

The swiss duo debuts on Analogical Force after many fine releases on Lux Records, Jamal Moss' co-op Mathemathics and appearances on Brokntoys or 030303. ‘Shifting Multiverse EP’ is one of the strongest released by the Schnüriger brothers so far. 

If you are looking for conceptual music come back where you came, ‘Shifting Multiverse EP’ contains four-tracks of raw acid techno, sinister synthscapes and rippling 808 electro ready for do damage on the dancefloor. Proper analogue gear, smoke machine and strobelight, the real deal. Bruno & Hansruedi knows the way. 

Closing the circle the certified ’acid lord’ Andy Jenkinson is jamming the 303 as dangerous as ever. It was inevitable: Ceephax serves up a killer remix of ‘Myrtle Acid’ that...blah blah blah just listen! and love us or hate us.
