Lowtemp is singlehandedly bringing cool back to dance music. The internet memes of kandi-coated juveniles throwing confused gang signs and sucking on lollipops fade into distant memory as Gramatik's Brooklyn-based label continues to churn out mature, sensual hits for cerebral, smoke-'em-if-you-got-'em adults.

In that vein, the ILLUMNTR duo of Bryn Austin Bellomy (lead singer of EXMAG) and guitarist John Russell stonily muses on the wreckage of a Prince-led studio session with Animal Collective and Brian Wilson. Hazily flowing through disparate movements of "GULF HYMN," we get a ton of looks around a shag carpeted, crushed velvet opium den housing a harem of unkempt cats. Oozing with sensuality and mayhem, this opus is the second single from Soul Sister, due out on Lowtemp in the very near future.

That's not all, the label continues to push with next week's release of Gibbz' Who Gibbz a F#@$? The debut album from another EXMAG fixture is poised keep the bar high. Keep 'em rolling, Denis.

I learned so much about Ableton and how to rank down in CSGO during the 4 days or so that we spent writing this song together. I'm really happy to be a part of Bills new album. 

This is what he says about it:

"The title of the album is based on a feeling I believe all artists experience. Whenever I'm working on music (or anything for that matter) I'm always trying to chase an idea I have in my head and present it in reality where it can be observed, quantified and appreciated, only to realise that my idea or vision is too extreme or disproportionate to my skill set, leaving me constantly in a state of abandoning my art at a point where it can be classed as 'complete I guess' and settle for mediocrity.

TLDR: Art is never finished, only abandoned. We all settle for mediocrity."

"Can’t Change Crazy" is the second single from Coachella performing, neo-soul talent Leo Napier’s debut EP. Born in the US but now a proud London Ladbroke Grove resident, you’ll recognise the versatile songwriter’s crisp vocals as featuring alongside Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon on Gramatik’s most successful single to date, Native Son. Chart topping dance act GRiZ’s electro-funk take on Before I Go Away was released by the DJ last year and has garnered millions of streams to date. This follows from their previous collaboration A Fine Way To Die which also has streams in the millions. The single from Leo’s EP ‘Mind Up’ (out Autumn 2017) premiered on Wonderland in June 2017 and has already picked up millions of Spotify streams. The EP is a collection of urban tales, a mix of classic funk/soul with hard hitting electronic rhythms produced by eclectic worldwide talents. The songs are gritty urban tales with a cast of colourful characters peppered with Leo's signature brand of dark humour. “I never planned to stick the 5 tunes together and call it an EP.
