Inspired by the park jams in NYC I wanted to contribute to my hometown with  peaceful vibes and positive dreams in the citys most negatively charged park  where there's been numerous gang related shootings. Before we dive into the latest episode, let’s first take a brief look at Lofi Radio and what it offers to its listeners. The show is a music podcast that features a variety of producers, musicians, and artists from around the world. The aim is to showcase the producer in a overview of both new tracks, older tracks and also some work in progress – the vibe is chill and laid-back, with a focus on hip-hop, jazz, and a positive vibe in the community.

The seventh episode of Lofi Radio is here - with a producer that’s been alongside the Ninetofive for a very long time – A producer with masterful MPC skills in this episode. We are featuring Stockholm-based producer & great friend of mine Max i Million. Max is a self-taught producer who has been making music & building his own following and community for a long time. For me, and to a lot of other people he is well known for his mastery of the MPC 2000XL, and creating warm, soulful sound with incredible bounce. I am very honored to be presenting him on the show and I hope you all will enjoy this beautiful mix he’s put together for us all.

Recorded at Berlin's Horst nightclub on November 2, 2012, opening for Midland and Kyle Hall. There's a bit of digital clipping at a few points towards the end, but I liked the track and the ones following it enough that I decided to leave it in. (The set went on for another 30 minutes, but the clipping was pervasive by that point, so I faded out this edit of the set at a natural breaking point. Alas.)

After offering his remixed interpretations for the likes of The Roots and Amy winehouse, DJ Devastate drops another soulful remix. This time around, the Swedish deejay/producer transforms Anthony Hamilton's "Comin' From Where I'm From," with the assistance of Swedish keyboardist Fredrik Segerfalk (owner of Analog Sweden). 

Taken from Anthony Hamilton's sophomore album of the same title, the soul-storyteller shares his gripping tale about getting out of the ghetto over the mesmerizing keys, thumping drums and soothing sax of Devastate & Segerfalk's production overhaul.
