NYC-based Singer, Writer, Painter & Actor, Billyboy The Jamaican Cowboy mixes classic country and classic reggae music. This genre is a true representation of “international modern pop” – a hybrid of borderless vibrations
“Music is more powerful than any boundary man can create” states Billyboy (born “Oniel Soriva Morris” in Browns Hall, St. Catherine, Jamaica). Brought up into a strict Christian household that would not play reggae music but would always welcome country music, the young Oniel would listen to the country greats (like Kenny Rogers): the natural bond of Country & Reggae thus formed.
Mixing an adventurous life of careers (from the National Reserve of Jamaica to Art Teacher), Billyboy would eventually land in New York City to continue his artistic career. Billyboy always chooses the positive side of life: therefore he sings songs to motivate, educate and to bring laughter to the people. Love & respect. Always.

“’Walking On Sunshine’ is a song that feels like I have always sung. Every word I can relate to. David Sisko slowed down the original to create a riddim which opened the heavens to melodies and harmonies which were always inside me. It’s crisp, heavy, smooth and head-nodding. We combined double voicing (the low voice, representing Johnny Cash and a high voice, representing Jimmy Cliff) to create a Reggae/Country pop classic. Something that seems was always with us. This was the first song he & I made together and I want everyone around the world to hear this: A message eternal.”
