My track on the Amniote x Ute Fundraiser Compilation. 
All the proceeds will be donated to The Red Van: a volunteer-run NGO working with harm reduction and human rights for street based sex workers in Copenhagen.

"Sidewinder" is my reptilian alias for Mama Snake's label, Amniote Editions. All artists are invited to create their own reptilian alter ego for the project. My last release there was the "Ripple Effect" EP in 2019. I first met her in Autumn 2018 in Copenhagen to play at Jolene, as well as attend in-person sessions for the mastering+lacquer cut for the record. We mastered with Joel at Six Bit Deep and cut the lacquer with Hari (HVAD) at Kommunal Dubplate. Proper stuff. Few weeks later we shared the lineup on Sustain Release Festival in NYC, it was all a blast. 

I had the pleasure to first meet the Ute crew in Spring 2019, playing their club night at Blå in Oslo. Already had a good feeling when they picked me up from the airport and were playing Global Communication while driving through misty evergreen trees. Oslo freakishly reminded me a lot of my hometown of Seattle, just a bit less mountainous and hilly. That summer, we shared a lineup in Säule Berghain and at the end of season I was invited to play at one of their forest parties (bless) alongside their residents and Alpha Tracks - it was a really fun run! :~)

Radio Slave announces Rekids Special Projects ‘Actualize’ compilation and DJ mix - Part 1 will be released in January, with Part 2 to follow in February 2023.

Rekids Special Projects, the no-nonsense techno-focused sub-label of Radio Slave, aka Matt Edwards’ Rekids, launched in 2017 and has since released music from the likes of Mark Broom, Luke Hess, Jon Hester, and more. For the 50th release, Edwards readies ‘Actualize’, bringing acts from the wider Rekids universe into one slick collection, with the first part arriving this January alongside a DJ mix of the tracks.

“The original concept was a vinyl-only offshoot of Rekids, focusing on techno and a home for our extended family of artists. We’re now working with so many new and exciting young artists, such as Confidential Recipe and the incredible Theo Nasa, and Rekids Special Projects is a rock-solid platform to shout about good quality club-focused techno music. It seems like waiting for a new Pan-Pot EP is a yearly occurrence, considering the duo’s heavy, globe trotting tour schedule, so to have a follow up from them just four months after their recent ‘Funke’ EP is a grandiose surprise to say the least. Over the span of five flawlessly executed tracks, Pan-Pot deliver a swarm of dance floor destructors of unforgettable moments for the 50th release of their 'Second State' label. With a focus on the timeless aesthetic of “less is more” the duo craft their newest EP focusing only on the essential elements needed to create maximum impact.
Kicking things off is the warehouse-ready EP ‘Weltlinie’ where an impeccable equilibrium of abrasive percussion and warm pads forge themselves into a timeless cut suitable for tonight, tomorrow or twenty years from now. Switching gears, ‘Startphase’ sees Pan-Pot at their most recognizable as they deliver a rapid fire tune where a massive sonic barrage of one repetitive sound creates a hypnotic ride into euphoric territories. Quite possibly their simplest track of the EP, ‘Exzentrisch’ follows their minimalist approach as one pattern is played by nearly all the elements, constantly deviating which sound takes center stage, resulting in a monotonous, yet always interesting composition that is sure to boost the energy level of any size room to unfathomable heights. Nearly rounding out the EP is ‘Zeit’ where rapid fire percussion and pitch shifting cymbals set the stage for a wicked lead melody that slowly becomes engulfed by hefty sonic bursts creating the perfect melodic balance for a big room tune.
