QSTN (“QUESTION”) is a Southern California beatmaker and DJ. Drawing from his extensive vinyl collection, QSTN fuses obscure funk, soul, and jazz breaks with heavy beats and live instrumentation, crafting a sound that pays homage to the golden era of hip hop.

His music has been featured on notable labels like Chillhop Music and Mark Farina’s iconic Mushroom Jazz series, earning recognition from tastemakers such as OkayPlayer, Giant Step Records, and Vice’s Noisey. Recently, QSTN was featured in the book DUST & GROOVES VOL. 2, a sequel to the original release that highlighted the world’s most fascinating and accomplished vinyl collectors, with the likes of Questlove, and Gilles Peterson to name a few. This edition celebrates an even more legendary lineup of artists, DJs, and vinyl collectors from around the globe, recognizing QSTN’s dedication to the art of digging.
