Excited to announce that the recordings of Soulection Radio are now moving to Soundcloud. What better way to transition over with no one other than Mr. Carmack & Mikos Da Gawd. This was definitely an amazing session from start to finish. Joe Kay kicked things off for the first half of the show! He dropped a lot of exclusives and forgotten gems. Mikos Da Gawd dropped a 30+ minute DJ set that consisted of many gems and original productions from the man himself. Mr. Carmack wrapped up the show with an amazing listening session of all of his latest unreleased works. Man, all we gotta say is that Carmack is one of the best in the game right now. Beatgeeks is a producer night in Berlin, Germany created and curated by producers Suff Daddy, Hazeem and Party promoter & vinyl selecta LeBob. From Jazz to Glitch, Bleep to Hip Hop, all genres and varieties of high quality instrumental music captivate the listeners each and every time. Numerous producers come threw and display their sets and create a very unique and authentic vibe since 2011 every 1st & 3rd tuesday of the month. 

Berlin based label Jakarta Records in collaboration with BeatEvolution Rec. now releases several small 7inch editions. Starting of with “Beatgeeks - to go” a rare and dope beat-collection of producers that have been part of this event thus far. Each episode will be pressed as a limited edition of 200 7" vinyl with unique, customized cover. 

In Episode I and II well-known producers and regular guests to the event Dexter, Suff Daddy, KutMasta Kurt and Figub Brazlevic do the honors of exposing their latest sounds. Episodes III & IV will take a slightly different approach to beats that are electronical but not yet techno. Watch beats, not TV!

QSTN (“QUESTION”) is a Southern California beatmaker and DJ. Drawing from his extensive vinyl collection, QSTN fuses obscure funk, soul, and jazz breaks with heavy beats and live instrumentation, crafting a sound that pays homage to the golden era of hip hop.

His music has been featured on notable labels like Chillhop Music and Mark Farina’s iconic Mushroom Jazz series, earning recognition from tastemakers such as OkayPlayer, Giant Step Records, and Vice’s Noisey. Recently, QSTN was featured in the book DUST & GROOVES VOL. 2, a sequel to the original release that highlighted the world’s most fascinating and accomplished vinyl collectors, with the likes of Questlove, and Gilles Peterson to name a few. This edition celebrates an even more legendary lineup of artists, DJs, and vinyl collectors from around the globe, recognizing QSTN’s dedication to the art of digging.
