This sixteenth release in the core Knowledge Imprint catalogue marks an important milestone (a good 7+ years after its inception) as it welcomes the first solo EP by a South African producer other than the label owner himself. Justyn Nell - @justynnell - has already been making waves in his own right with releases on prominent labels and performances at well-respected venues across the globe. So, it is with great delight that he joins the label roster for a strong 4-tracker like only he can do.

The A-side is occupied by ‘Erebus’ and ‘Obsidian’, both of which have the distinct character of Justyn’s more tool-oriented techno production style. With sharp synths, hypnotic loops, precision percussions and classic call-response tension, these are tracks that are made for peak dance floor moments - no frills, no fuss. On the other hand, the B-side’s ‘Perceived Depth’ and ‘Solstice’ show a different side to Justyn’s usual stylistic tropes. Make no mistake, you’ll still get a full dose of techno, but this time with more hypnotic and emotive qualities that reveal a welcomed development in the artist’s sonic palette.

At this point a regular contributor in defining Token’s sound, Border One steps up for his sixth EP on the label in five years. As in many of his past projects, ‘Where is Now’ bleeds characte r through effect for a trip on the dance floor. 

‘Time Drift’ reaffirms his minimalist approach to the EP, only inviting anxious drum sequences with rising rides in the second half. The portal opens steadily in ‘Time Drift’, establishing a slightly more meditative tone than he’s done in the past.

Visceral Abyssus unveils its first release with Morgana Parel and her album Caminos del caos: a journey of eight pieces that act as channels of liberation. Each track emerges from the urge to transform inner chaos; laden with frustration, pain, and repressed emotions; into something tangible and beautiful. For Morgana, shaping that long-hidden darkness into sound is a profoundly liberating act.

The album unfolds across shifting intensities: Demencia de la carne, Exaltación excepcional, Explosión y nada, and Último instante are aggressive cuts where rumble and low-end frequencies dominate the space. Destruir las formas and Satisfacción dive into immersive, deeper territories, defined by expansive textures and spatial atmospheres. Finally, Estertor violento and Eterno presente are built on percussion and groove, channeling physical movement and hypnotic energy.

This album is a descent into chaos turned into trance—an exercise in confronting the visceral and transforming it into sound.
