Jono Grant & Harry Diamond remix JODA’s ‘Spark’, out now on Anjunabeats.

2022 was a big year for Jono Grant and Darren Tate, aka JODA. Grant is one-third of Above & Beyond who, throughout a two-decade career, have established themselves as one of the biggest electronic groups in the world. In 2019, Above & Beyond received an offer to score an environmental documentary, ‘The Last Glaciers’. He enlisted classically trained musician, songwriter, producer, hitmaker and close friend Darren Tate, and the duo got stuck into composing together.

It became a dream project all around – not least because it sparked further ideas. JODA was born. Working in Tate’s studio in suburban north London, and A&B’s south London HQ, the pair were in a creative bubble during the early days of the pandemic. And the partnership proved fruitful. 

Their self-titled album ‘JODA’, celebrating the musical influences that Jono and Darren grew up with, was released on Anjunabeats in August 2022 – to a rapturous reception from the Anjunafamily and beyond. The album shot to #1 on the iTunes US Dance chart and has since seen over 10 million combined streams.

Brighton native Harry Diamond first appeared on Anjunabeats with ‘Electrified’, a 2011 collaboration with Darren Tate and Nicolai. His last Anjunabeats release, ‘Run From The Night’ with ADZ and Trills, earned support from Armin van Buuren, Farius, Marcus Santoro, Mark Sixma, Ben Malone, Judge Jules, Leena Punks, Tritonal and Vonda7.

Harry Diamond and Jono Grant’s bombastic take on JODA’s ’Spark’ has seen consistent support at Above & Beyond’s recent shows across North America, Canada and more.

Esteemed electronic music label Kindisch proudly presents the latest addition to its catalog, the highly anticipated two-track EP titled "On The Way To Wonderland" by celebrated organic house artists Modd and Metanoya. Marcus Schössow and Thomas Sagstad have been planning, plotting and dreaming anamē for two decades. First coming together at a house party in Helsingborg, Sweden, the Swede and the Norwegian bonded over a shared love of artists (Sasha or early Tiësto), labels (Strictly Rhythm, Defected), ethics (“We both wanted to work hard for our dreams”) and ideas. As family life, academic studies, and new homes in different countries threatened to separate them, their old connection drew them back together.

In 2022, the anamē adventure began on Anjunabeats. The duo crafted an emotive collaboration with Above & Beyond and Marty Longstaff on ‘Gratitude’, worked with BLR and Robbie Rise on club anthem ‘Influencer’, and reworked a pair of classics in Lostep’s ‘Burma’, and ‘Tears From The Moon’ by Conjure One and Sinéad O’Connor. Most recently, the pair remixed Kyan’s ‘Lonely River’ alongside A&B’s Paavo Siljamäki in his P.O.S guise, collaborating again with Paavo on ‘Good People’ for his ‘Deeper Tales’ album.

Their debut album ‘Beautiful World’, featuring the singles ‘Anywhere (Road Trippin’), ‘Someone We Used To Love’ and ‘Must Be Dreaming’, released September 1 on Anjunabeats.
