Divergente, with more space fulness and ethereal vibes, it develops in a relaxed flight, like gliding over a landscape examining with eagle eyes the geography of an unknown territory. The latest addition of Roam Recordings offers three stunning remixes of Berlin based 80s New Wave inspired band Pardon Moi. Following the success of their singles “Addiction” on Emerald & Doreen Recordings and “Inside the Outside” on Nein (which has been featured on BBC Radio) the Berlin duo Pardon Moi consisting of Thomas Freudenthal and James Brook have penned the evocative “Power to the People” along with “Touch2Much” which have been released in original form on 7” vinyl from Hoga Nord Rekords. In the “Power to the People Remixes” EP, Roam Recordings has gathered together a dream team of top remixers - Damon Jee, Markus Gibb, and Curses - who each put their own spin on the originals. Damon Jee starts it out with an an energetic and anthemic version of Power to the People that’s sure to get people on their feet. Markus Gibb moves Power to the People into slightly darker and heavier territory with exquisite production that has become his trademark. Switching gears, Curses takes on Touch2Much and keeps the 80s vibe alive with a stylish upbeat dub that’s both quirky and fun.

All three of these remixes come together in an action packed trio of tracks that will surely be a go to when looking to get the dance floor movin’.

Odd Only finally returns back to their own imprint Joyfriend with a new record after their excursions on Empore and Musica Autonomica: "Carla" is the latest entry by the two and includes two originals and a remix by Schlepp Geist from Leipzig.

The title-giving piece of the record impresses with its sophisticated synthesizer harmonies on a mercilessly driving groove. Already part of Odd Only's live set for a while, “Carla” has undoubtedly been written for the cellars of the world and will provide for one or another special moment on the dance floor with its intriguing mood.

Intuition, on the other hand, with its ironic title, presents a challenge: Its lavish and extraordinary drum arrangement sits enthroned on a broken bass drum groove and represents a welcome break from the usual realms of the 4-to-the-floor-formula. It does not stray too far though and keeps its compatibility with classic house and techno numbers.

In the end, "Schlepp Geist" presents his own interpretation of the title track, enriching it in particular with a multitude of atmospheric drum events, which weave the main motif into an always surprising and impelling context.

Johannes Klingebiel and the musicians of the Contrast Trio go way back. Both originally hailing from Frankfurt, they took their first musical steps playing together in various kinds of jazz groups (Johannes starting out as a drummer). So it only feels like a logical step for Johannes to rebuild one of their tunes, the sprawling "Sondernamen", a piece of music written for Frankfurt's "Luminale" festival. Resulting in two complimentary remixes, Johannes re-arranges the puzzle pieces, finding connections in the free floating energies of jazz and house music.
