Blessed Madonna, Pete Tong, Gerd Janson, Ash Lauryn... the list of great DJs playing and loving Sam Ruffillo's very special italian disco music is long. With only 3 EPs on Toy Tonics, he might be the most talked about producer on the Berlin label (with Cody Currie and Coeo). One of his Italian disco songs form his last EP ITALIANISSIMO ("Chiamami Subito“) made it into the high rotation playlist of the biggest Italian pop radio and is still growing in the international club underground.

Now Sam comes with a new EP. And this EP shows his other side. Until now Sam has been known for his Italian organic disco songs (no samples, all instruments played live). But for his new BROOKLYN TAPES EP the Italo-Sicilian DJ, producer and super styler Sam Ruffillo worked with a few American rappers and soul singers to create what a New York critic called „post digital soul house music“. 

Remixes for the EP by some of Sam's fans: Ash Lauryn from Detroit, Eli Escobar from New York and Art Of Tones from France.

Continuing the slew of releases on Roy Davis Jr.’s Undaground Therapy Muzik imprint, Italian artist Nico Lahs is set to release his Holy Day EP on the label this May. Following on from Men From The Nile and Turquoise Colored French Tourists, Lahs has created a classy four tracker EP to move your body and soul.

Bringing emotion to the forefront of each track, the EP seamlessly blends balearic vibes with soulful Chicago house. Crunchy percussion and rhythmic jazz filled grooves open the EP in the form of Bossa Rhythm. Title track Holy Day is a hypnotic, dreamy offering catapulting the listener to a sun-drenched landscape. Moonlight and Sunday Morning continue with the dopamine hit as loose and funky grooves weave throughout.

Nico Lahs aka Nicola Loporchio is a sound engineer, DJ and producer and has been creating emotive deep house since 2009. A consistent and impressive musical output has resulted in Lahs releasing on labels including; Ovum Recordings, Adeen Records, Delusions of Grandeur, Metamorphic Recordings, Dailysession Records and Moods
and Grooves among others. Lahs can also be found gracing the club scene at a number of prestigious clubs including; Cable, Club der Visionaere, Djoon, KaterHolzig, Rex Club, Sankeys, and Tresor. As an artist that is continually experimenting and pushing his musical boundaries, Lahs can also be found under the Cosmic Garden
and NLXLB aliases.

Coming up next on Flat White Records is a body of work by Italian DJ / Producer, Brine.Based in Bologna, Italy, Brine has spent the last decade releasing genre blurring music with his work hitting labels such as Boogie Café, Wilson Records and Sengiley Wax. Ancient Future Now is back for good with a full-fledged EP by Mexican talent Suricata. The Paris-based producer serves up two originals which are not only seriously groovy but actually have something to say! The title track „Algo Para La Fiesta“ takes a satirical swing at Mexican club culture, which is permeated by Narco drug cartels and double-edged condoning politics. The other one, „Dance Like You’re Protesting“ is commenting on male toxicity on the dancefloors in our oh-so equal underground club scene. So while the topics of the tunes are certainly heavy, Suricata still manages to wrap them up in extremely catchy tunes that immediately urge you to groove along when they’re on. The included remixes by label heads Alma & Mater and Johannes Klingebiel pick up the pace a notch and are certified house groovers for the peakier times of the night. Johannes plugs „Dance Like You’re Protesting“ into a straight deep house jacket with a hard hitting bassline and all, while Alma & Mater’s version of „Algo Para La Fiesta“ probably got a little high of its own supply with its mind-bending sample-chaos floating over a groove that somehow manages to hold it all together. Anybody else hear that phone ringing? It’s about revolution, baby!

Multidisciplinary artist. Born and raised in Mexico City. Currently living in Paris. 
 
Coming from a classical music background, Suricata, works since 2012 trying to create a link between underground electronic music, classical music and orally transmitted music. 
 
He goes out to the world using ethno-musical historical archives from indigenous communities from Africa, Mexico and everyday sounds from his field recorder while playing synths, piano and other self constructed DIY instruments to search for an afro/indo/-latin electronic identity. 
 
His music and sound work explores identity and rituality, mixing cultural references and echoes of the social inequalities of Mexico city and the world. He creates cynic and satirical mirrors that challenges today’s blind search for dopamine aesthetic suicide. She invites us, as listeners, to remind ourselves to break the barriers that makes us live with fear of feeling. 
 
Jumping from more contemplative and active listening mediums 2015 "tza tzun tzat”   he designs modern rituals that involve sensory deprivation and meditation while also creating pieces for the context of rave culture, where music’s communal character and collective interdependence is more present. “2020 The only way out is in”. 
 
Currently living in Paris working with the objective of sharing and creating with a free and caring community.
