The Lust Emperor is the sonic persona of cross-disciplinary artist Linjing Peng. With a background in fashion design and fine arts, Peng channels her visual and emotional language into music—crafting immersive sets that fuse Industrial Techno, EBM, and experimental electronic textures. Her performances are deeply narrative, weaving together diverse instruments, genres, and raw soundscapes to create emotionally charged ritual experiences.

Drawing from a broad spectrum of cultural and historical references, her sets take listeners on a transformative journey—from the mysticism of the Eastern Wushu Age to the primal energy of the Viking era. Her sound world spans Tibetan Buddhist chants and ancient Germanic echoes, running water and shattered bones, the howls of wolves and cries of whales, fire crackles and ice fractures, swords clashing and drums ringing. Blurring the lines between past and future, nature and machine, chaos and harmony.

For The Lust Emperor, music is not just sound—it’s a ritual passage. Her sets are not just performances, but sacred offering:a devotional act, meant to awaken a lust for freedom and leave audiences energised, purged, and at peace after a cathartic descent into the unknown.

Despite wearing many professional hats, Linjing Peng has brought The Lust Emperor to prominent stages across London, Glasgow, and beyond. She has performed at iconic venues such as Fold, Corsica Studios, SET, Electrowerkz, and Exit, and at renowned events including UNFOLD, Kaos, Pripost, and THAB.
