Next up on the Fast Forward Audio Series, we present: LISAS

  LISAS is a DJ emerging from the New York techno scene whose expertise spans a multitude of roles. From working as a sound engineer in recording studios alongside artists such as David Byrne, Floating Points, Oneohtrix Point Never,  to performing and touring in the band The Rapture, and producing music for the Ayama NYFW SS24 fashion show; all while repairing vintage analog synthesizers and outboard gear, or managing production for raves and large scale events-the many layers of her journey are as diverse as they are captivating. 

Her foray into DJing - an evolution grounded in her extensive knowledge and boundless curiosity of sound, has become the focal point of her current ascent, where she’s known to unleash an array of strikingly distinct selections that propel her audience on a riotous and feverish ride.
In her own words, her blend of “post-apocalyptic arpeggiators and mermaid synthesis” fuses groovy techno with sizzling bursts of electro, driving trance, heady IDM, glossy breaks, and anthemic rave weapons draped in lush emotive synth-scapes. Her colorful and dynamic style has earned her two coveted residencies, at Le Bain in New York City & in the Brooklyn-born Agape Music collective, along with gigs across top clubs and notorious underground parties in the United States and Europe.

About the mix:
Recorded in my studio in Brooklyn, it's a goodbye letter to a summer in New York that ripped <3 A combination of tracks that I have recently discovered, been playing out and been listening to.

There has been a close connection between Eigenrausch and electronic music for ages. Growing up with the raw sound of local techno scenes in east Germany brought her close to  industrial aesthetics, which are still reflected in her sets today. When she moved to Leipzig, she continued developing her sound alongside her constant interest in producing techno and now plays sets that she describes as "driven, with dark gloomy aesthetics and raw undertones".

We've hit the big 40! What better way to mark a milestone than to draft in Huddersfield's finest export, LKY. Sporting a sound that feels somewhat reminiscent of the northern towns he hails from, tough, eerie and isolated yet bursting with character, littered with underlying detail. About LKY:

Born in the UK, LKY has been exposed to electronic music from an early age. With over 10 years experience as a DJ/Producer playing all across Europe delivering hypnotic rhythms with core dub influences throughout.

LKY has released music on labels such as FIGURE and Newrhytmic Records. In 2020 LKY also saw the formation of his self-release series titled ‘LKY’ which was an opportunity to showcase the producers style and direction.

This week, Inez Akker shares her vision of what makes a perfect opening set. With great pleasure, listeners can dive into a mix she has meticulously curated, demonstrating how every detail aligns. Inez Akker is an emerging Techno artist originally from Spain and currently based in the Netherlands. She began her musical journey in 2018 and quickly made a name for herself, debuting at H7 Warehouse and securing her first DJ residency with Papaya Records.

Her signature style, characterized by powerful, driving tunes, merges groovy and hypnotic elements atop a pounding beat. This distinctive approach has resonated with audiences at prominent venues such as Melkweg, Yellow House, RD Made (Amsterdam), PIP, Magazijn (The Hague), Nobel (Leiden), Edelfettwerk (Hamburg), The Host (Thessaloniki), and K.U.P.E. (Sofia), among others.

Over the years, Inez’s dedication and passion have earned her well-deserved recognition within the Techno scene. Among her notable achievements are winning SAE Amsterdam's ADE Production Challenge in 2022, establishing herself as a resident DJ at Techno Tuesday in Amsterdam, and securing multiple releases with respected labels like Elberec, Olympus, Cumulonimbus, To Be Black, Brace Brace Berlin, Second Impulse, and Winked Records. These accomplishments have firmly positioned her as a rising force in the world of Techno.

For Inez Akker, an opening set holds a vital yet often understated role in shaping the night. The tone of the event relies significantly on the warm-up DJ, making it an art form in itself. She views the warm-up as a chance to explore the intimate and fluid side of a DJ’s craft.

In this podcast, Inez has embraced this approach, creating a smooth journey that transitions from delicate, minimal sounds to more groovy tracks, eventually winding back down to a lower energy to prepare the stage for the next act. Through a refined and elegant progression, true to her hypnotic and groovy style, she has carefully crafted a balanced flow of tracks designed to subtly engage the audience and set the perfect tone for the night ahead.

Esta semana tenemos el placer de presentar en el 808 Basic Mix de Radio Castilla-La Mancha una mezcla exclusiva a cargo de Daniel Rifaterra, un artista español que redefine las reglas del techno con su estilo único y arriesgado, al que él mismo denomina ‘Sober Techno’.

Su música, cargada de poderosas percusiones, melodías melancólicas y un enfoque creativo inconfundible, ha captado la atención de sellos como ARTS, Truncate y We Are The Brave, y ha sonado en escenarios icónicos como Awakenings y programas como el Essential Mix de la BBC Radio 1.


Desde joven, Daniel ha cultivado una visión musical diversa, alimentada por referencias que van desde el post-rock de Mogwai o el jazz de Chet Baker hasta el drum & bass y el jungle de los 90. Este eclecticismo, junto con su sensibilidad artística y su trasfondo rural, se traduce en un sonido que rompe moldes y refleja su identidad más pura.

Entre sus logros destacan momentos como Richie Hawtin estrenando su lista de Spotify con un track suyo o Truncate seleccionando su remix de ‘Missing’ entre más de 800 propuestas. Pero Rifaterra no solo triunfa en el estudio; su presencia en cabina es arrolladora. Clubes como Florida 135, Razzmatazz y festivales como SouthWest, donde es DJ residente, han sido testigos de sets intensos, elegantes y llenos de emoción que siempre se adaptan al momento y la atmósfera del evento.

Cartoonish, sardonic, yet heartfelt and emotionally raw. Born from Nementïa Astrøphe's earliest years learning Ableton, these tracks have been refined and reimagined, still carrying the unhinged spirit of a curious kid breaking things just to see how they sound.

It’s a twisted jungle gym of naive sound design and arrangement, melodrama, cynical humor, and nostalgic tenderness. From demonic cartoon samples to near-death hallucinations, warped love, dead pet elegies, and the fight against existential boredom, each track retraces a moment of personal myth. Some naive, some painful, others deeply cynical, but all woven with a sense of playful disobedience.

It’s chaotic, melodic, and sometimes just ridiculous. The sound of an inner child throwing paint at the void and laughing when it stares back.🫣
