"Allez les presales! Everybody’s favourite Parisian party fiends are back, polishing up another batch of patchy pound bin finds and not-on-Discogs delights for your next summer soirée. Putting their orange-eagle eyes to good use, the LYO crew have trawled the crates of Europe and beyond for this sunkissed set, working the scalpel to the max to pack the dancefloor in arms aloft ecstasy. 

Our party starts with the kwaito groove of “Avidio””, a killer bit of late 80’s Afro-action boasting synth marimba, alien bass blasts and life affirming vocal chants. Not only is this cut moving in the ants-in-your-pants/dancing-like-a-madman sense, but its Sting-on-safari emotion and clarinet solo could bring a tear to a glass eye.

Cartwheeling between aspirational jazz-funk and afro-cosmic, ‘Yanga Mbiwaa’ makes its way to the heart of the party like a bewildered Parisian at an Ivorian wedding. As tumbling toms rumble like thunder on the Serengeti, an oddball exotica chant encourages the nearby wildlife to shake a tail-feather to the Club Tropicana guitars and buzzing synthbass. 

At last you have something to keep Quantum Jump’s ‘Lone Ranger’ company! Last but not least comes ‘Autoradio’, a very well mannered monsieur living the French highlife by the sea and sun of the Mediterranean coast. Effervescent Afrobeat guitars and swooning sax dance over a rolling rhythm section of buoyant bass and 80s percussion, while a spoken vocal drawls in your direction and the girls ask if you’re ok. It’s only when the pinging, ringing, madly modulated bass breakdown bounds through your surroundings that you’ll wonder who slipped what in your drink…"

Four electrifying edits from London & Paris based @mytronofofo on the unstoppable Razor N Tape. ‘Beach Buggy’ goes full throttle from the get go with a conga fuelled, disco jam before the clock strikes twelve and ‘Midnight Drive’ offers up a low slung, late-night boogie cruise.

On the flip side dreamy chords, soulful sweet nothings and synthesizer swells are the order of the day for ‘Eli’s Coming’, leaving ‘Capricorn’ to close out the e.p. with a bass heavy, intergalactic chugger.

After the vinyl release of "Life Worth Living" EP, the Belgo-Australiana duo Ca$hminus return with "VER$ION$" which is exactly what it says on the tin - friends' reinterpretations from around the globe. Melbourne’s brotherly duo Donald’s House get things started. After their debut EP on Berlin’s Touch Of A Distance a few months ago, they present their first ever remix: a low slung, far out dub version of “Paradise” - the original will see the light of day early 2020. 

Next up, favourite Frenchie E-Talking (Whities) delivers a shapeshifting dancefloor version of "De Vlasmarkt". A true rollercoaster of a track that takes you places. Emotional entertainment, dare we say it.

Hong Kong’s very own Mr. Ho rounds things off. The Mihn Club resident and one of the powers behind Klasse Wrecks offers a murky, understated groove with echoes of trance lurking out of sigh.

Public Release once again plunges into the deep well of dance music talent its hometown of San Francisco has long fostered for Moon Replacement, the debut single by Anderson Chase: two originals wrapped around a couple remixes of its titular track, with early support from Tim Sweeney, Thomas Bullock, Jacques Renault and Kim Ann Foxman.
Our pick up is remix from UK techno &  house veteran Mark E which goes in the opposite direction of original titule mix, applying some heat so the square structure’s joins start to melt, wiggle, wobble. We feature Dutch master Legowelt's take on Medicine; drawing from italo, dub, hardcore, dancehall, techno and many more sonic pools to create his wonderfully engaging, but always envelope pushing sound. And his Imbeciles remix is as instantaneous as it is complex and layered with detail.
