A body, a voice, a relationship to space and to another. Confrontational at points, reflective at others, an achingly honest presence is articulated throughout the 4 tracks of So Klarity "Volume 2".

Constructed space moves between emotional registers; opening with "Collect Calling". A centering of desire, a desire to desire. What is it to be inside but somehow on the outside, to be both exhibitionist and voyeur? A charged melancholy reminiscent in sensibility of some of post punk’s most iconic heroines.

Granular, glassy planes stretch into the second track; expansive and subtly psychedelic. "Count the Loving" feels to be a meditative massage as medium sent from afar with a guitar pluck so thoughtfully romantic. Hand acoustics fritter over loops and vocal delay with heavy repeats underlines this mood. The sensation of travel, mentally at least, feels to be invited here.

"Signs out of Time" alludes to fractured dissociation, there is a knowingness in this, which nods to a deep understanding of this community. Field recordings and Time blurs. But we don't know what time it is or what time is Love. Dissections. Cuts. Memories. There is a real mass to this track and this weight feels to lean heavy on a heart.

So Klarity closes Volume 2 with "The Choice". Written in the past tense, a feeling of something lost or an echo bouncing back. Could it be a regret or a coming to terms with a situation? Holding on and holding together, drum machine stapling a wound. Flashbacks minimum twice a day appear confessional. Staccato edges and it ends.
