Es ist schwierig zur Tagesordnung überzugehen, bei all dem Wahnsinn und schrecklichen Ereignissen, die sich momentan in der Welt abspielen. Ein wenig Trost, Freude und Ablenkung finden wir dann doch, mit einem wunderschönen Mix von DJ Balaton. Gisela! Ein klassischer Shot der Wohl in keiner Bar und Club fehlen darf, was man über DJ Balaton übrigens auch sagen könnte. Lange haben wir uns auf diesen Mix gefreut. Airsine is a Brighton-based multi-instrumentalist electronic Producer/DJ whose low-BPM tunes are immersive, slow-burning and often acid-tinged. 

In 2024, Airsine released his first EP Don’t Hardly Know, as well as produced remixes for Ben Hunt, Dadhaus and Space Age Freakout.. After playing a residency at the Cornish at Glastonbury Airsine hosted pre-parties for David Holmes as well as ALFOS afters at BLOCK Brighton.

Airsine started DJing in Leeds, setting up the legendary ASYLUM parties in the early 90’s which he later took to the Camden Underworld in London. The Brighton free party scene introduced Airsine to a more psychedelic and organic style of electronic music. He regularly started playing extended sets in the more creative backroom spaces. This is the sound and energy that influences his production, and DJ sets today.

In 2025 catch Airsine playing with Balearic Burger in London, Glastonbury Festival and hosting the monthly Slow Future Radio Show on Radio Waters. Airsine’s next single, Paper Horizon, will be released in February, featuring a Ben Hunt remix, followed by Like Fire in March, released on Paisley Dark with remixes from Mindbender and Space Age Freak Out.

With his new Levity EP, Ander lightheartedly delivers four new tracks that take your dark side for a walk in the park. Falling Up supplies you with the right footwork for the job. A turnaround here, a friendly off-step there. Rolls Rhodes plays tricks on your mind with a melodramatic mood underlined with a robust forward-pushing groove, leaving time for contemplation, but not for looking back. Drops, to the contrary, follows gravity for once and presents a solid four-to-the-floor story with an ethereal theme accompanied by a biting bassline. Bare is a rare beast, getting rather emotional and exploring the space in between the up and the down, going on is the way to go. The Rolls Rhodes Remix by Klang Allianz goes jazzy on the main theme, restoring sanity at least partially after this jaunt. Enjoy without moderation.

At the beginning of January last year, Iron Curtis and I played a memorable all-nighter at Paloma Bar for which we decided to dig deep in our Broken Beat and Dubstep collection so that we could try to stay clear of the four to the floor. Of course, we ended up playing House and Techno as well :-)
This was a special night for multiple reasons, the most peculiar one being that this gig would turn out to be my last club performance before the pandemic...
This edit of the original 10-hour recording covers roughly the first four hours of our back 2 back. 
Special thanks to Finn and the Palomas for the invitation (and the recording!) and all the friends who showed up that night.
