For the 29th edition of Melodic Tales we have as a guest Haennes Montaennes DJ Original from Kiel, Germany who gives us an incredible two-hour session of Techno with Melodic Techno tints and light Progressive nuances full of danceable energy, it is worth mentioning that this mix was recorded at the 2021 Bachblyten Festival held on August 6-8 in Schwesing Germany.

MELODIC TALES - Episode 29 by Haennes Montaennes

Hailing from the Spanish mainland is a sound that’s resonating globally thanks to a choice select of tastemakers that are driving through the boundaries set out by their mediums. A notable character from that sub-culture of game-changers is Marc Martinez Nadal, aka AFFKT (@affkt), who has been a driving force behind a colourful & empowering sound that is refined by his drive for perfection. Having worked on coining the sound of this alias since 2008, it has been a plethora of sound, place, person & culture that has provided a platform for AFFKT to experiment with his output. Serving electronica crossover masterpieces that delve into the many sub-genre’s of house music via key imprints such as Suara, and his very own Sincopat label, and expressing versatility digging deep into his influences of the local by delivering heart-stopping, engaging techno on the likes of Kling Klong & Noir Music, AFFKT has committed to a life of synthesis and this is what sets himself apart from a comparatively shallow glance at dance music. Once described as a “Son Of A Thousand Sounds”, AFFKT has evolved to a career peak where he has surpassed expectation and enjoyed praise from his peers. Cutting through the ranks, his path has retained an essence of so many that have influenced him, he now sits shoulder to shoulder in skill & presence.

“I really enjoyed recording a mix for Flow Sessions, I was able to develop and tell a longer story than I usually do in other podcasts. My main mission has been to make a coherent mix from beginning to end that makes you travel, and that can be listened to and enjoyed in different moments and situations. Hadiid the electronic music artist is an Asian born and bred DJ and producer from the island of Borneo carrying with him a diversified selection of sounds, pushing boundaries wherever he plays.

Throughout his Djing career he has ventured around playing gigs around Asia including Koh Phangan, Manila, Jakarta, Bali  as well as Kuala Lumpur. This gave him opportunity to support local stars as well as international acts such as Hugo Mendez (Sofrito) and also Mathias Schober (Lossless). 

As part of the NWHR collective, he now pushes his hometown scene with organising pop up parties and intimate gigs around Kuching city. Creating diversity in music as well as opportunity for likeminded artists to perform in an ideal environment as well as educating masses of alternative music cultures other than pop is the ultimate goal with NWHR. 

Currently Hadiid is signed to record labels spanning regions from Berlin, Russia, Ukraine, South America and also Asia including Polytypch, Black Beard,Vertigo Audio, Uxoa Dutxa Elite, Eclipse Recordings, Kaleydo Records, Asia Music, Pizza Tunait, Dear Deer Records, Leftright Sounds, Deepsomnia ,Bullfinch Records, Lossless and most recently TAU by The Adana Twins.
