Joie de Vivre is a weekly podcast focus on bringing the best and fresh deep and melodic house, progressive, techno and electronic music from around the globe.

Rasmus Aamot Bakke got his house party baptism attending the biggest rave in Norway's history, on the Nebb site in Oslo in '91.
16 years old and immediately understood that this was his type of music and culture.
Two years later, he bought his first record players to start mixing, and has done so ever since
Today he plays with the DJs from the party that saved him, and is a resident DJ on Safari.
Rasmus has been seen and heard in recent years on concepts such as Safari, Footworks, Elephant, Hvitsten Jam, Double Rainbow (Dk) among others.
Under the artist name RAA, he likes to experiment with sounds and styles and always tries to put his own stamp on his sets and test the limits of what works.
For the most part, it goes in techno, house, deep-house, electro, tribal, progressive, but a lot of sampling are also mixed in and characterize the sets.
There is always an element of mystery in the music he plays and the styles can vary a lot from set to set, but a strong signature on the music makes it recognizable to those who have
heard RAA before.

Elay Lazutkin one of the top techno projects of Russia, headliner of the biggest festivals in South and North America, as well as clubs in Europe and Asia, played over 300 shows for past five years. Owner of his label Sync Fx Audio with over 40 releases. His music played around the world on such big events as Time Warp, Space Ibiza by artists like Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, Umek, Popof, Advent, Sam Paganini and many others. Elay is manage his own label Sync Fx Audio since 2013 and released more than 40 music releases. Currently, Elay organizing Sync Fx Audio events in Moscow and touring Russia, Europe, South and North America.

"Djimmy" (Jimmy Svensson) has embarked on an exciting journey as a DJ, fueled by his lifelong passion for music. His introduction to the electronic scene dates back to 1991 when his friend, DJ Anti, brought him to his first rave, Age of Love, in Stockholm.

Over the years, Jimmy has explored the world’s most iconic festivals and clubs, immersing himself in the dance culture. He developed a special fascination with the energy and vibe of sunrise and early morning sets, which sparked his love for progressive and driving beats.

In his performances, Jimmy strives to take the audience on a journey, creating a seamless flow with his unique blend of Progressive House, Techno, and Indie Dance. Being one of the most in-demand Techno DJs of our times, Ben Klock needs little introduction. His name has been closely associated with Berlin’s legendary club Berghain since 2005. His monthly residency has formed the backdrop to his international success, providing an invaluable platform for his ability to create a room rather than just play to it.

Much of his early career was marked by marathon sets – a signature that played a considerable role in nurturing his skills and reputation – but even the more compressed sets he shares today evidence an intricate narrative and sense of flow that defines him as a DJ. It was these inherent abilities that led him to compile the fabric 66 compilation in 2012, before winning the BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix of the Year award in 2015.

His releases on Ostgut Ton have become landmarks in the imprint’s history. 2009’s “Dawning”, the first of his collaborations with Marcel Dettmann kickstarted the label itself and remains a stand-out track in its discography. Another release of particular note is the Before One EP including “Subzero”, which many techno lovers still refer to as their gateway track into the whole genre itself. For many, however, it is his album One (2009) that best captures Klock’s talents as a producer. His skills as a remixer have also seen him rework tracks by a wide variety of artists, including Kerri Chandler, Depeche Mode, Robert Hood and Kenny Larkin.

Additionally, Klock curates with great passion his own label Klockworks, founded in 2006. With releases from DVS1, Stef Mendesidis, The Advent, Sterac, Etapp Kyle, Temudo and many more Klockworks became a synonym for unique, high quality Techno.

In 2017 Ben started his own event series PHOTON which is a unique concept show that blends light, architecture and music. Since then he toured PHOTON at special venues in major cities around the world such as Printworks (London), Gashouder (Amsterdam), Arca (Sao Paolo), to name a few. It quickly became a new standard for audio visual electronic music events. In 2023 the project returns after a pandemic induced break with a brand new visual and artistic concept.
