Organic House & Deep House Mix - November 2022

I pay tribute to the formidable soundscapes of Dmitry Pushkarev, better known as IZHEVSKI, hailing from the picturesque city of Izhevsk, Russia - a fitting inspiration for his artist name. 

My introduction to his work was through the GHIZ project. Now he has forged his own path with the launch of his label RUVENZORI in 2020.

His sound is a unique blend of sharp edges and prominent basslines, interwoven with rich ambient melodies and subtle vocal elements, all at a steady tempo of 120bpm. His ability to seamlessly blend his style with other artists through collaborations and remixes is a skill that I find truly impressive.

Dmitry's sound is not for everyone, but for those who appreciate a unique and edgy sound, IZHEVSKI is a must-listen.

IZHEVSKI

This is my tribute to Mindaugas Spakauskas, also known as Minnado, in celebration of his debut on Amulanga Records with his EP "Miela" (which means "cute" in Lithuanian, his native language). Based in London.

I have been captivated by his chill style, characterized by melodic, peaceful piano chords, soothing vocals, and delicate basslines. Perfect for unwinding after a long day. 

It's an honor to see him make an impactful debut on Amulanga, and I've included all four tracks from the "Miela" EP in this mix. I hope you find as much enjoyment in listening as I did in creating it. 

(Note: "Miela" EP will be released on January 27th and is available for pre-order on Beatport).

Minnado

I'd like to introduce you to the independent record label Shanti Radio, based in London, UK. I came across it while discovering Volen Sentir, who released music through this label.

Shanti Radio showcases a diverse array of artists from across the globe, including names such as Hosini, Lee Burridge, Amonita, DSF, M.O.S. and Lost Desert, just to name a few.

The label primarily focuses on deep house, with some recent releases in the organic house genre. The music is peaceful, sometimes melancholic, yet still suitable for the dance floor, as exemplified by Volen Sentir's releases for example.

In March 2020, RUVENZORI (RVNZ) was founded by Dmitry Pushkarev aka Izhevski, launching its first release on Beatport in May of the same year. 

This tribute celebrates the innovative sound of RUVENZORI, which is characterized by its uplifting melodies, groovy beats, and contributions from notable artists such as Tim Green, Deek That, Amonita, Volen Sentir, and of course founder Izhevski himself, just to name a few.

With a strong connection to nature reflected in its release artwork, RVNZ continues to inspire and captivate music lovers.

RUVENZORI

It is with great honor that I pay tribute to 'All Day I Dream', a record label founded by Lee Burridge and Matthew Dekay in 2011. 

Beginning with rooftop parties in Brooklyn, the label has grown to throw renowned events in various locations around the world. Boasting a roster of notable artists, All Day I Dream consistently delivers high-quality productions.

As a fan since 2017, I have a special fondness for their productions from this time and before. This mix showcases the label's classic tracks that have garnered immense popularity, rather than their newest releases. 

You can expect to hear some of the most beloved and timeless music from ADID in this mix.
