DAVID PHOENIX is the alias of Hungarian DJ & Producer David Janecska, an artist whose career within electronic music spans two decades and a multitude of genres. In 2003, David began to make his first forays into music production, experimenting with a variety of styles that drew influence from the blistering sounds of breakbeat and techno that were popular at the time. From here, he followed his love of broken beat rhythms to the Drum & Bass scene, quickly becoming an avid collector of the genre’s musical history and developing an exacting ear for the qualities that make for a unique and impactful record while doing so.
Beginning in 2017, David redoubled his pursuit of music production. Meet Angelina aka grey.ish — a DJ from Vienna who has turned a casual experiment into a beloved hobby over the past two years. Her sets take you on a journey through dark and minimal tunes, enhanced by captivating vocals and psy-elements, creating a forward-moving soundscape. She’s always good for a little surprise.

With roots in dance, grey.ish's connection to music runs deep; she was swaying to beats before she could even walk. Discovering techno and its clubs, she found herself drawn to the darker sounds, perhaps because they contrast with her own personality. 

Last year, grey.ish regularly played at Donautechno and had main slots at Werk, Flucc, and Zukunftshof. Currently, she is traveling, exploring not only new countries but also new music. Andi FAT#Slevin ist ein DJ und Produzent aus Köln und als Resident DJ Teil des Kölner Kollektivs klangheimlich. 

Am Anfang stand eine Open Air …

Als Andi im Jahre 2018 den Kölner Produzenten Max Jennoschek kennenlernte, beauftragte dieser ihn mit der Entwicklung einer Homepage für sein Projekt klangheimlich. 

Doch daraus wurde erstmal nichts, denn als Andi im August 2018 zum ersten Mal Gast auf einer Open Air war, geriet er unvermittelt in die Organisation des Partygeschehens: Als „Mädchen für alles“ entdeckte er in jener Nacht sein Talent und Gefallen an der Durchführung einer gut besuchten Open Air-Veranstaltung. Mit all ihren Hürden und Tiefen.

Dabei kam ihm sicher sein beruflicher Hintergrund zugute, denn als ehemaliger Dozent für Informatik, liebt es Andi, Lösungen für Probleme zu finden. So verwundert es kaum, dass er sofort Blut geleckt hatte.

Sein anfänglicher Auftrag, die Erstellung einer Homepage, wurde im Zuge der Ereignisse erst ein halbes Jahr später Realität; dafür fand er nicht nur gleichgesinnte Freunde, deren Herzen zum selben Beat tanzten wie das seine, sondern darüber hinaus auch noch den idealen Rahmen, um sich musikalisch voll zu entwickeln, denn Max stand ihm nicht nur als guter Freund, sondern auch als Mentor zur Seite. 

Andi wollte nicht mehr nur weiterhin Musik konsumieren, sondern selbst auch als DJ tätig werden, und so eignete er sich Basiswissen an und setzte sich mit dem Produzieren auseinander. In dieser Auseinandersetzung mit elektronischer Musik hatte er sein Herzthema gefunden. Ließe sich sein Stil in den Anfängen noch im höheren Bpm-Bereich ansiedeln, so beschreibt er selbst ihn heute am liebsten als progressiv-melodischen House-Techno mit Elementen, sowohl von House als auch Trance.

Inzwischen blickt der Kölner Produzent bereits auf zahlreiche Podcast-Sets zurück – sowohl im hauseigenen Kollektiv klangheimlich, („klangheimlich zur freiheit“) als auch auf eine eigene Podcast-Reihe, den FAT#CAST, und hat auch bereits andere Kollektive in Köln mit seinem musikalischen Talent bereichert, z. B. Serotonin und Polychrome. Im Oktober 2021 eroberte klangheimlich mit einer rauschenden Eröffnungsfeier – nach Corona – den Club Nachtigall in Köln zurück. Zu diesem Anlass spielte Andi das Closing, mit dem er sein Club Debut feierte und alle sicher nach Hause bringen konnte.

Andi ist offen für Neues und scheut sich nicht, über den (musikalischen) Tellerrand hinauszublicken: Sein Ziel ist es, eigene Tracks zu produzieren, um sie im kommenden Jahr der tanzfreudigen Community zu präsentieren.
