'Shek O' captures the atmosphere of a beach village located on a south-eastern peninsula of Hong Kong Island. It has a popular surfing beach, and a smaller back beach, with a little fishing port, where you can go for a beer at Ben's bar and you can watch the moon coming up over the South China Sea.

Ships - A chilled ambient trip hop instrumental inspired by the ocean voyages of the past and present.  

I spent the first half of 2014 traveling between my new home in Hong Kong and my parents home in the UK near the port of Harwich.  I was struck by the constant flow of massive ships linking these two worlds over centuries. This track captures that sense of oceanic journey and global connection, blending orchestral textures with a mellow trip hop groove and the ethereal sound of the theremin.

Perfect for relaxing, studying, or unwinding to a calming instrumental soundscape.

Mastered at Air Studios and released in November 2014.

Ride with An Di Yi to the sacred slopes of Kawa Karpo, a holy mountain on the border of Tibet and Yunnan, China. With a soundbed recorded whilst riding on a mule following a pristine mountain stream, whose bed is adorned with thousands of stone prayer stacks made by pilgrims on their spiritual journey, and yaks grazing peacefully nearby. The gentle, rhythmic mule bells set the pace for music reflecting the serenity, vastness and spirituality of this magical land in an ambient soundscape for moments of quiet reflection and peace.

This track was born from Typhoon Usagi. When Usagi hit Hong Kong, I was stuck indoors for three days, listening to the relentless rain. I recorded the sound of that rain, and used it as the soundbed for 'Usagi - Rain - Piano - Chill Hop'.

Gentle piano melodies and chill hop beats blend with the hypnotic sound of the rain, evoking an atmospheric and introspective chill hop mood for rainy days, relaxation, or focused listening.
