Max Kunz was born 1992 in Bensberg, Germany but grew up in Bonn where he – already at an early age – taught himself the basics of digital music production and started producing his first HipHop-Beats. Unlike the usual way Max Kunz never went through any musical education. A sensitive musical ear, natural talent and musical understanding next to a large experimentation represent his personal qualities and constitute those attributes that make his unique style.

After moving to Hennef at the age of 15 Max got introduced to a wide range of contemporary house music. Impressed by the great versatility of the deep house genre and electronic dance music in general he felt 
the urge to purchase studio equipment and started producing electronic dance music. After some time he found for him that this purely electronic/programmed music would never reach his intended sound. He felt the sound was always to static, to monotonous and to boring. 

Bringing in organic sounds was the solution. Going outside, looking for interesting natural sounds to catch, recording self-made instruments and a lot of experimenting were and still are time-consuming but rewarding possibilities to make his tracks sound a lot more dynamic, varying and interesting and make up his current, continuously evolving, unique sound.
