Rejected welcome Greek DJ/Producer Stelios Vassiloudis to the family with his superb label debut. 'Ricochet'.

Made on the move, as he trekked back and forth between Europe and South East Asia, both tracks share a sense of raw dynamism that is reflective of the touring and immediacy of Stelios' mobile production setup. Less is more as they say, and this is never more pertinent than in the creation and sound of both 'Keluar' and 'Thick And Thin'.

Keluar, or 'Get Out' in Malay, forcefully issues its order via its thumping kick and rubbery bassline. Spring-loaded percussion snaps and fires as Stelios ushers in waves of synth and wails of vocal, before hurling us back into its heads-down groove.

On the flip, 'Thick And Thin' teases us. Living up to its name via its stocky, thundering opening before blooming via its rippling atmospherics and chopped vocal, to become a beautiful deep house tool.

"Orphic Cycle" is the second 4/4 track on the EP with chords opening up and shutting while sequences run like mad. This minimalist set up generates the tension we know from minimal techno from the the early stages and from some of Steve's music we released in the beginning, but here appears in a more uptempo enhanced style.

For the 47th edition, we welcome G303! Seriously influenced by the Brussels underground scene, he started collecting and mixing vinyl around 1996 and got attracted to the more bleepy and experimental side of acid and techno.
Fast forward 25 years, G303 is now more productive than ever, with recent releases and remixes on the infamous Zodiak commune records (where he is one of the resident producers).

Hello Friends,

Greetings in the New Year 2025, with I think again 12 great Artists from the range of electronic music.
Today's edition starts with Lnt Mike and I'm very happy about that.
Mike is a Belgian artist with a penchant for acid.
In the 90's he developed his flair and step by step his love for this electronic music. A hobby soon developed into a practical activity.
He began to play clubs and raves as a DJ himself. 
He went to the USA to study, where he obtained his SAE.edu New York certificate. He started producing Acid - Techno and also founded MMA a Californian label, which resulted in a combination of Analog Machines Tricks Vs Hard work Choy Lee fut Kung Fu Style.
In 2014 he came back to Belgium and joined We call it Acid.
He went back to the USA and founded a vinyl-only label with his cousins Analog Experience Records in 2016.
It all sounds very exciting again, so enjoy his exclusive set for us here.

Following on from the 'Aset Forever' EP by label bosses Dusky, the next release on 17 Steps comes courtesy of Russian duo Formally Unknown, who've previously appeared on Moscow's Capital Bass and their own Bass Oddity imprint. Out 19th October, the 'Off Peak' EP exists somewhere near the intersection between Detroit techno, UK bass weight and the CoOp scene.

We're very happy to be premiering the title track, which mixes twitchy bleeps and thunderous bass pulses with splintered percussion and a butter-smooth breakdown. So deep you'd need a submarine to even catch a glimpse.
