As we move into the heart of the winter here in Montreal, we are proud to welcome back the talented Quebecois producer - Monarke. Hailing from Quebec City, he has gained international acclaim in recent years as a key figure for Soul Button's Steyoyoke. His 2021 debut on XYZ - Edge of Reality - struck a chord with global groovers. We are thrilled to have Monarke return for his sophomore release on the imprint : Footprints.

On the A-side, Monarke connects with Whirl for a collaborative gem. Footprints flows effortlessly into a sultry mood, allowing bespoke synthetics to capture the mind. Momentum rises as the track floats onwards, lifting ethereal tones from start to finish. Simply a beautiful production.

On the flip, Monarke turns the dial on Intricate. A warm breakbeat sets us in lockstep, and crisp percussives bring riveting rhythms. Utilizing enveloping energy and ominous melodics, the Canadian's progressive production swirls us into a sensational soundscape. A B-side built for the dancers.

Renowned Colombian producer Kamilo Sanclemente @kamilosanclemente , a key figure in contemporary Progressive House, presents “Astronauts Nightmares / Destination (Remixes)” on Univack — a powerful release featuring three unique reinterpretations of his original tracks. Three distinct sonic visions reimagine Kamilo’s cosmic and melodic landscapes from complementary and personal perspectives.

Veteran Maltese artist DJ Ruby @djruby takes “Astronauts Nightmares” into an acid-driven, epic terrain — perfect for peak-time moments on the dancefloor. Argentine producer Nicolas Viana @nicolasvianadj offers a different reading, where dreamy textures and rich harmonies intertwine with organic groove and elegance. Finally, Kebin van Reeken @kebinvanreeken-1 transforms “Destination” with a progressive and hypnotic rework, marked by refined sound design and sonic depth.

This is an EP that sails smoothly between club-driven intensity and emotional subtlety, reaffirming Univack's commitment to artistic exploration within the melodic and progressive universe.

Guys hey hey! I'd have to say we are more than impressed with Fort Hender's 2016 performance so far. He has shown the ability to keep up with Me and Bellizzi with no problem at all. This production from him here is filled with the biggest tech vibes and  with an original Bellizzi hook is what you've been looking for this month. I'd say this is the Chamonix/Buddy Holly sequel but I'll let you be the judge.

It's a unique feeling of ease and unpretentious elegance that reveals the long-year experience of an old hand. The productions of David Keno are a wonderful example: The functional grooves of the Berlin resident put the principle of ‘quality over quantity’ in a nutshell. On his Waterfront EP he presents two highly immersive dance tracks that are immensely catchy without any trace of flashiness, their organic melodies folding and unfolding with minimalist grace. Together with a remix by Kollektiv Ost this is clearly a triple dose of peaktime material.

Andrea Oliva’s current status as an established international headline act is the result of an entirely organic journey.

Having taught himself to DJ at the age of 13, Andrea then started working in a record store where he built his extensive collection of upfront promos and white labels from Europe and beyond and he soon secured bookings at some of Switzerland’s best clubs leading to residencies at Terminus and Pravda. With his status in his home country growing, Andrea teamed up with the owner of Nordstern in Basel, Agi Isaku, and the duo were soon throwing sold out ‘Banditz’ parties across Switzerland. His reputation took him across the continent and all the way to Ibiza, where in 2004 he was first invited to DJ at Space.

As his reputation grew so did his diary, and he was invited over to Ibiza to play at Space in summer 2004. Ibiza remains a pivotal location in Andrea´s current DJ career where he plays headlining slots most weeks at ANTS in Ushuaia. However his worldwide touring schedule is equally as extensive counting slots at many of the worlds biggest festivals including Coachella, Tomorrowland, A Summer Story, Sunrise, Dreambeach, Medusa, Sonus, Sunwaves, Kappa Futur and DGTL as career highlights.

Andrea developed his production style under the likes of VIVa Music, Saved Records, Be As One and Cadenza, and has gone on to have tracks on some of the industry´s most recognisable imprints. Several of his tracks including Vermona, My Way, Scream, and his remix of Thick Dick's "Welcome To The Jungle" topped charts across digital download platforms and have become anthems in clubs around the world. His 2015 “4313” album released on Objektivity was also received with critical acclaim and he continues to garner widespread support for his music from clubbers and industry alike.

Throughout few years Andrea has continued with an everstrong release schedule, with EP’s released on Hot Creations, Desolat, Truesoul, Play It Say It, Saved, Moon Harbour, Relief, Rejected, Kaluki, 7Wallace, Rawthentic and Circus. Not forgetting of course his massive remixes of Thick Dick’s “Welcome to The Jungle” (SONDOS), Groove Armada’s “House with Me” (Snatch), Tiga’s “Woke” (Turbo) and Catz n Dogz “New Love” (Pets Recordings), all of which were supported right across the industry and each of which also became huge club anthems. In addition, Andrea completed a solo headline “Andrea Oliva & Friends” residency at Ibiza’s newest superclub Hï Ibiza featuring a string of high profile guests, as well as maintaining an eye watering touring schedule incorporating headline festival sets and tours right across the globe. Other highlights include debut Boiler Room, Mixmag Lab and DJ Mag sessions, another B2B set and live broadcast with Pete Tong as part of the Radio One in Ibiza weekend, a second BBC Radio One Essential Mix and a return to the huge Zurich Street Parade where he performed on the main stage and which was attended by over a million people.
