The Swiss Manu has been accompanying us musically for a good two years now. Among other things, his really wicked track "Teilchenbeschleuniger" was already featured on our last compilation. INTERVIEW:

✔️ What is your musical background?
I used to listen to music every day at home. Be it on the record player, radio or CD. I was influenced by my parents' music, such as Michael Jackson (he probably gave me the energetic music), romantic music (the minor key) and DJ Bobo (electronic music). I had never learnt or played an instrument in my youth. But it all started when I was 16 for the weekly outings, i.e. parties in clubs. First hip hop, then house/techno. Hundreds of club and festival visits in Switzerland and many other places around the world as a dancer and connoisseur probably made me what I am today. At some point I wanted to share this experience myself and started DJing over 10 years ago and then a little later producing to have even more influence on the music.

✔️ What does a afterhour means to you?
An afterhour is probably the most intimate moment of the whole evening. Intimate, albeit often fleeting, relationships are forged. The now is lived. Musically, as a DJ, the most difficult part besides the intro is probably keeping people happy for eternity. The answer to your question is therefore: harmonious people and perfect music.

✔️ What thoughts would you like to share with us about your mix?
I included seven KauzAudio tracks in the set. Four of them are still unreleased. As always, I also tried to play a mixture of old, new and favourite tracks. As we all know, ears and tastes are constantly changing, so a DJ set is always a snapshot in time. At the moment, all these tracks are among my favourites. It's quite possible that this will change again in the next few weeks. In any case, what is always important to me is: very danceable, lots of excitement, deep and crispy as well as good, refreshing sound design.

Andreas Henneberg has made a name for himself as a DJ, label manager and producer of great repute, with a sonic fingerprint that is easily recognisable yet hard to define. Since starting out in the 90s, he has put his name to over 140 releases that operate somewhere between Techno, House and Minimal and always explore unfamiliar sounds in unique new ways.

As well as being the founder of his own label Voltage Musique (with friends Daniel Nitsch, Marquez Ill and Stefan Schuldt) which turns ten years old this year, Henneberg has also made himself at home on influential imprints like Ideal Audio, Confused Recordings, Herzblut and AREAL and is a key part of the Plantage13 family. He doesn’t only produce under his given name, though, but also explores a number of other styles of music as The Glitz (with close friend Mr. Daniel Nitsch), Cascandy and Hennon. Whatever he puts his name to, though, you can be assured that it comes from a place of deep understanding and appreciation that too few producers have in the modern age.

Given the amount of music Andreas has produced over the years, it’s no surprise he is also an in demand ghost-writer for many established artists, helping them to realise their ideas and putting to good use his year’s of priceless studio know how.

As well as all this, the Berliner is also a respected mastering-engineer and DJs on a regular basis at clubs all over the world, spinning knowing blends of House and Techno that not only make you dance, but also make you think. It all started for him at seminal clubs like Tresor and at the very first Berghain/Panoramabar, so his sense of history and class as a DJ is unri- valled, with his sets never failing to leave lasting marks on those that hear them.
