Andre Mayborn has been evolving as an artist and DJ since early 2016. His music reflects diverse ethnic themes from cultures all over the world that combine hypnotic grooves of African tribes, upbeat Balkan fusions, rhythmic ensembles of the Middle East, meditative chants of Asian temples, Indian shamanism and mystic Slavic folklore.

Often defined as avant-garde downtempo Andre's music takes his audience on a spiritual journey into the world guiding their imagination through mysterious times and places, triggers their deep emotions and thoughts, gives inspiration to their minds. Each performance is an aesthetic interpretation of diverse cultural repercussions with their sacred messages seen from a contemporary perspective.

Andre is a co-founder and resident at AnimaTerra Festival, a global initiative and platform for self-expression which is aimed to promote multicultural electronic/world music, flow and visual arts through engaging creative communities and musical talents all around the world.

Unison Fest 2023

Not to Be Reproduced," a masterpiece by the surrealist artist René Magritte, stands as a testament to his enigmatic and thought-provoking approach to art. Created in 1937, this painting is a visual puzzle that captivates viewers with its mysterious narrative and meticulous execution.

At first glance, the composition appears straightforward—a man standing before a mirror, seemingly engaged in the act of observing his own reflection. However, Magritte, true to his surrealist roots, introduces a twist that challenges our perceptions. The reflection in the mirror does not align with the man's appearance; instead, it reveals the back of his head. This deliberate distortion prompts contemplation on the nature of reality, representation, and the deceptive quality of images.

Magritte's meticulous attention to detail is evident in the rendering of textures, from the fine fabric of the man's suit to the reflective surface of the mirror. The use of subdued colors contributes to the dreamlike quality of the painting, inviting viewers to delve into its symbolic layers.

As a co-founder and resident DJ at AnimaTerra Festival, Andre contributes to a global initiative and platform for self-expression. The festival aims to promote multicultural electronic, downtempo, and organic house music, along with flow and visual arts. It engages creative communities and musical talents worldwide.

Since 2022, Andre has ventured into curating Ecstatic Dance journeys. These experiences gently combine vocal guidance, sound healing, meditation practices, cacao ceremonies, and unique collaborations with live musicians and multi-instrumentalists. The result is a truly uplifting and therapeutic encounter.

"We found the dimmed Heart sitting atop the bus in the middle of post-Burn chaos, as if sleeping, separated from it’s darkened Robot counterpart. The bus had broken down after the Burn and was cemented amid the luminous gridlock, being brought back to life by an array of oil-covered, faithful hands. Maybe it was just my cosmic week getting the best of me, but at that moment the separation between the Robot and Heart seemed symbiotic to the turbulent energy of the Playa, which was pulsing with infinite expressiveness. Eventually the roar of the engine broke into the clamour, the Heart lit up once again and, as if in reaction, the Robot began to glow. They moved gently towards each other and then out to the edge of the playa. The Yin and the Yang were united again, on the edge of the universe.

That’s how I remember it, anyway.

Every Burn experience is a different story, this mix tells mine - I hope you enjoy it. Thanks again to Robot Heart for having me a part of your amazing project, and to all of the Futurists and Burners that came out in the cold and danced with us - it was incredible x"

After having hosted a series of successful events in Dubai and Moscow they aim to collaborate with labels, producers and flow communities around the world to organise AnimaTerra Showcase events on further continents.

The cover art is provided by Radka Tiarksova and her visionairy art project Radka Soulart. We believe that a combination of different styles of art will allow our senses to expand, feel & see the whole picture within. The name of this beautiful piece is 'Homecoming'.

Living a spiritual life is a journey to the essence, the essence in which we come in touch with pain as well as with love, the pain of our world as well as the hope for our world, the pain of our own lives as well as the light that breaks into our dark spots. It is a journey in which we resist the many distractions that pull us away from the center with an endless number of things that literally occupy us. Perhaps, you have realised that not all is as it seems, that there are gaps in the narrative that you had been given your whole life by your family, school or the news. But deep within you lies this one essence, the authentic, pure and eternal you, which seeks to get rid of all determining layers, in order to be newly born into this world through your personal spiritual quest and self-perception.  Everyones inner journey of self-discovery is unique, yet all paths more or less lead to the same destination and although entirely individual, there are similarities in our journeys towards this calling, this longing to 'come home’.
