Lake Aurora was formed in Southampton, England in the late 1990s by school friends Andy Burnett and Steve Lawrence. The band wasn't officially named until the release of their first self produced album in 2000. Their debut, Path (which they now refer to as their 'disaster-piece') was recorded to four track tape in Steve's garage. Lake continued to self produce a long list of albums and EPs, released in fairly limited numbers and all recorded in the same manner (although they did progress to 8-track in 2004). 

The live line up went through several changes, with 2008 marking their last live performance. The band alienated potential fans by constantly changing direction, intermittently refusing to write songs with vocals and by rarely playing the same song twice. Lake Aurora continue to write and record. The New Shadows, an 18 track instrumental album is the most recent release. 

In 2011 Andy and Steve were joined by Matt Smith and currently play live with Antigerone.

antigerone are a rock band from Southampton, UK. They were formed in June 2010 by long time friends Andy Burnett and Steve Lawrence. Matt Smith joined in August of that year, and the trio started playing shows on the south coast of England. The current line-up was completed when Rhys Moore joined on bass, playing his first show in March 2015. To date they have recorded two EPs, which are available to download from Bandcamp. 

Andrew James Burnett is a musician from Southampton, England. He is a founding member of rock bands Lake Aurora and Antigerone. Between 2010-2018 he worked on recording and releasing demos as part of his Monomania project, with frequent collaborator Steve Lawrence playing drums.  AJB continues to work on solo material and released a new EP titled The Unknown in October 2022.
