7 - The Bell

So for a long time I was writing a track which I can now finally reveal. I wrote this piece for my mum for her 50th birthday a couple of weeks back. 
A long time, plenty of headaches and due to kind permission, I can publicly share this.
I wanted to writing something which I think summed up her personality whilst throwing a few nods to some of her favourite music too.

Here is the demo I've written to accompany my soon-to-live review of East West's Composer Cloud. A monthly subscription-based platform which composers can use to access a large array of virtual instruments without the upfront large costs of buying such libraries separately. The article can be found shortly on www.thesoundarchitect.co.uk.

I restricted myself to using only EW instruments found in the Composer Cloud to complete this piece. And while I'm still not 100% familiar with the instruments, I'm somewhat happy with the outcome of learning new libraries.

This will feature alongside my latest article for The Sound Architect where I will review the software and include some nice little surprises for fans of Will's work too.

Hope you enjoy. There are elements of other percussive libraries to flesh out the track, but the majority of this is Granulate with some added plugins for effects etc.

Can't Sleep - A Granulate Software Demo

A monitor mix of the extended version of "Vertigo" from the original computer game soundtrack of Tomb Raider II Starring Lara Croft (1997). This extended version will feature on the album "The Tomb Raider Suite" and at the live performance: "Tomb Raider: Live In Concert" at the Apollo, Hammersmith on 18th December 2016.
