Estonian-native London-based Urmet K has steadily established himself as a firm fixture amongst London’s immense underground as he blurs the lines between hypnotic-melodic and emotive house melodies. Kenyan born Idd Aziz is completely dedicated to becoming one of the most empowered and awakened male vocalists possible and he proves that here. 

'Ni Wewe' is a gorgeous Afro-house tune with big drums and spiritual synths. The icing on the cake is the spine-tingling vocal which soars to the heavens and gets you in a trance. It overflows with real emotion and as the groove rolls on you cannot help but fall under its spell.

'Above the Balearic Sea, Madrid and Genoa are joined by a central musical thread where Nosssia and My Flower combine under “Claro de Luna”. A new musical vision emerges through the clouds as South America and Sri Lanka converge over the African continent.

Filtered synth lines materialise over clave percussive pattern as melodic themes echo in newly orchestrated shapes from Juan Sapia & Hasith. 'Italian veteran Gai Barone teams up with Micah for three prime cuts showcasing everything we love about the progressive sound. Cerebral and kinetic in equal doses, this is electronic music of the highest order.

The broken beats of ‘Prisma Pt.1’ feels tempered, yet the drama is everywhere around it. The glowing staccato bass is accentuated by flowing choirs of synths and lead keys containing more emotion than an entire civilisation’s collective genetic memory. This is high concept and thoughtful dance music.

A deep, rolling synth acts as the intro for ‘Prisma Pt.2’ before entering into an inviting 4/4 rhythm. Once again, celestial choirs and atonal lead keys effortlessly glide across the drums like an ice skater. Halfway through proceedings, the deep rolling sigh synth appears again, acting as a bookmark in another very engaging story. 

The energy is turned up on ‘Valse, a driving tech-house workout that keeps things simple without ever being derivative. Punchy percussion, a bubbling, balmy bassline, and entertaining vocal samples all add up for a massive dancefloor bomb that aims straight for the main floor jugular.'

'From the Middle East to Central America and Russia, a trio of artists blend their talents. Out of the darkness and into the light, Golan Zocher, Gux Jimenez and Mango build a stratified sonic masterpiece from “Only a Shadow”. Subtle organic layers amble through a forest of percussive saplings that sit beneath a towering beat and subterranean groove. Emerging in the dappled moonlit shadows, evocative motifs create an eerie atmosphere before a bassline force springs from the undergrowth and into the open, prowling beneath luscious melody.

Harnessing familiar energies from the darkness, Dowden hypnotises with a new poise and grace. “Only a Shadow” forms in the twilight as white noise crashes in pulsating waves. A mesmerising bassline hits the Toronto streets where it forges a path through pinpricks of melodic light and a seething, rolling rhythmic groove. A pioneering sonic architecture is forged from exquisite St Petersburg and Sao Paulo landscapes. Bassline and synth lines fire off each other in playful interaction and melodic beauty swirls in coruscating patterns of delay and intrigue. “Only a Shadow” is transformed into an iridescent array of sonic colour and uplifting brio by K Loveski & Gorkiz.'

Wow, hadn't realised what a journey SoundCloud would take me on.  After many years of passive listening to music I've dieted on a variety of tastes. My appetite for new sounds is undiminished and SC provides plenty of food. I am not a musician and have only recently started to listen positively to the sounds. My early years began listening to music from ABC, The Beatles, The Carpenters Dire Straits Eagles Fleetwood Mac Genesis Elton John Led Zeppelin Gilbert O'Sullivan Rod Stewart Supertramp Tangerine Dream Vangelis The Who and many more.
