Gordon McInnes is from Glasgow and has lived there all of his life. He has been writing and producing music for the past 25 years. Gordon comes from a musical background. His late father was an ardent home producer in his spare time, writing and producing music in the style of New Age and ‘Gregorian Chants’ and has strongly influenced Gordon in his appreciation for the New Age Genre, Enya, Deep Forrest, Enigma. Gordon’s music has been heavily influenced by well known Trance acts such as 'Chicane' ‘Solar Stone’, ‘Blank and Jones’, ‘4-Strings’, ‘Space Brothers’ and ‘Rank 1’ all of which have influenced Gordon’s Trance projects whereby he goes by the alias ‘Goldengate’ which he started as a Trance project back in 2002.

I love music and produce the genre that I love which is Progressive Trance specifically in the style of Trance music from the late 90s to the early 2000s. When I started this project back in the summer of 2002 aged 18 after coming up with numerous names that would suit my style coined as ‘haunting and melodic Trance’ I settled on the name ‘Goldengate’..

This series isn't a race against time to get the latest tracks & promo's in a mix, its a documented journey of Uplifting and Emotional trance throughout the years to the present day. Regular episodes, plus Rewinds, classic and special ones  are added every week, and also the occasional guest mix. Im not one for shouting for fame, getting involved in musical opinions in public, blazing out a Logo's or Hyping myself up. Its just nice for people to enjoy the effort and consideration that i put into this Series that I started back in 1999.
