2018 proved to be a standout year for Elypsis, thanks to timeless singles like "Always Be" (featuring Arielle Maren) and equally memorable remixes, such as his gorgeous take on Stendahl & Ai Takekawa's "Soldiers." Meanwhile, fellow Australian composer Taglo officially made his label debut, courtesy of a pair of extraordinary contributions to our recent "Only Silk 05" compilation. Together they present the mesmerizing "Swimming With Sirens" EP, featuring the collaborative title cut, as well as a solo track by each of these phenomenal musicians.

Aleksander Stawierej aka Indecent Noise hits HARD with the musical mayhem of One Step Back, a cut from Disc 3 of Pure Trance Vol. 7. A guy with a reputation for wreaking havoc on trance-floors, OSB is injected with Indecent Noise’s customary jam-packed power & production precision (neat alliteration huh?). Prepare to be punched!

This is a truly beautiful record, a firm fan favorite from Pure Trance Vol. 7 and a track which even inspired its own range of ‘couples’ T-Shirts in the Pure Trance store! The magic ingredient here must be the heartfelt delivery of Megan’s softly spoken and sung vocal: “I love you, I wouldn’t change a thing”. Vadim’s production here is brilliantly original and organic-sounding, his use of layers is minimal; allowing the vocal space to shine. Along with his Original, Vadim provides a darker more tech-influenced version (in the truest sense of the word – we’re not talking ‘tech-trance’ here, it’s more house in nature actually). Solarstone has deconstructed then reassembled Heart Connected for his own sets, stripping back the elements; giving the track a more Balearic feel in the process. The only actual remix in this release comes from the prog-tastic Christian Monique, whose recent remixes on 3rd Avenue and Mystic Carousel piqued Solarstone’s interest enough for us to reach out for one of Christian’s and his warm and fuzzy re-visualizations.

Wow, hadn't realised what a journey SoundCloud would take me on.  After many years of passive listening to music I've dieted on a variety of tastes. My appetite for new sounds is undiminished and SC provides plenty of food. I am not a musician and have only recently started to listen positively to the sounds. My early years began listening to music from ABC, The Beatles, The Carpenters Dire Straits Eagles Fleetwood Mac Genesis Elton John Led Zeppelin Gilbert O'Sullivan Rod Stewart Supertramp Tangerine Dream Vangelis The Who and many more.
