'Techno veteran Petar Dundov makes his debut on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records with his new track 'Neopar', a beautiful deep progressive track filled with atmospheric bells and cosmic pads.

On remix duty, also making his debut on the label, is the renowned Cid Inc. The respected Finnish producer utilizes the melodic touch of the bells from the original track and raises the tempo, creating a peak-time progressive cut.

To close out the package, the label bosses themselves lift the energy on their remix with a blend of dynamic drums and a bouncy bass-line.

Hicky & Kalo say: 'It's such an honor to welcome Petar & Cid Inc on our label. They are two of our biggest inspirations since the beginning of our careers. So it's a privilege to have been able to work with them. We hope you will enjoy this great release and you can be sure it's not the last time we will work with them.'

Born in Zagreb in the early '70s, Petar Dundov's career in dance music stretches back the best part of 20 years, but it's only in the new millennium that he's been using his own name for his productions. Over the years he's graced many of the world's most prestigious and best-loved techno institutions - including mega-festivals I Love Techno, EXIT, Awakenings and Wire, and cutting-edge clubs like Berghain, Matter (RIP), Womb, Air, Fuse and Space. He counts a long list of heavy labels on his back catalogue like Cocoon, Systematic, SCI+TEC, Music Man, MOOD and Last Night On Earth, to name just a few.

Petar Dundov makes intelligent electronic music that breaks boundaries, moves feet and twists minds. He is without a doubt one of the most inspiring, original and daring producers in electronica, and with the likes of Sven Väth, Laurent Garnier, Dubfire, Nicole Moudaber, Adam Beyer, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, and Danny Tenaglia amongst his fans, it would be hard to disagree.'

Dear friends, it feels really special to share with you Azimuth, my first album project.

Guided by the seasons, the album will be shared in four chapters over the next year and includes collaborations with inspiring artists.

°Nord is the first chapter of this story, inspired by Earth's elements below zero. Boréal textures and wooden instruments, ice particles and forgotten voices. This chapter is an hommage to those beings who allow us to breathe and exist, here and now.

I hope Azimuth can help to amplify nature's vibrations on which we can realign our compass. It's together that we can truly harmonize and synchronize, in order to heal ourselves and our planet.

One of the biggest trance records of all time receives a fresh makeover from Roman Messer and Cari!

'Silence', originally a worldbeat vocal anthem by Delerium featuring vocals from Sarah McLachlan, firmly secured a place in the trance hall of fame - according to just about everyone - thanks to several trance remixes that are now widely regarded as all-time classics. With its lyrics known by heart by every fan of the genre and the instantly recognizable vocal melody, it's one of the favorite records of many people - including, as it happens, Roman Messer, even before he himself became a notable name in the scene.

Having considered putting his own touch on the seminal record for some time now, Roman has enlisted the help of the Dutch vocalist Cari, who is, according to his own words, one of his favorite vocalists to work with and thus quite naturally the voice on many of his vocal anthems already. Staying true to the spirit of the original vocal performance by McLachlan but adding her own unmistakable idiosyncrasies, Cari makes the song her own - and Roman Messer provides a competently produced instrumental to carry her voice and make it shine among his synths. He has already teased this version of 'Silence' in his live sets over the past few months, sparking the curiosity of ID enthusiasts worldwide, and now time has come to lift the veil.

A modern high-energy peaktime uplifting trance banger, this take brings the hailed classic to the sound of 2022. Energetic just like Roman makes 'em, and just as heartfelt as the beloved versions of the past, Roman Messer and Cari's version of 'Silence' is sure to rock dancefloors now that live events seem to start reappearing for good.

First Effect - Building Memories

Wow, hadn't realised what a journey SoundCloud would take me on.  After many years of passive listening to music I've dieted on a variety of tastes. My appetite for new sounds is undiminished and SC provides plenty of food. I am not a musician and have only recently started to listen positively to the sounds. My early years began listening to music from ABC, The Beatles, The Carpenters Dire Straits Eagles Fleetwood Mac Genesis Elton John Led Zeppelin Gilbert O'Sullivan Rod Stewart Supertramp Tangerine Dream Vangelis The Who and many more.
If you can't spot a trend in my current likes it may be because it is diverse. I love listening to all my playlists which contain tracks that I like and if you like any of the music you must thank the artists not me.
