At the time, I was seeking to describe the indescribable; a life experience that elicited feelings more intense than happiness, like the inexplicable emotions felt at the birth of one's first child, or one of those deeply transformational experiences that seem to expand out forever. I suppose it's best known as Joy.

Impossible to describe perhaps...
But here it is, with warm thanks to Julien @musicar for adding his heartfelt touch with Strings.

Long before September 11, 2001, there was a September 11, 1950; the birthdate of my wife Terry.  This song started out as a very personal musical portrait of her.  Debra became interested in the track after I sent it to her for collaborative consideration.  The result is something very special for the both of us and we hope you too.  In my playing, I address the intimate side of the song and day. In Debra's playing, she addresses the now much larger meaning of the day for our nation and the world. Ultimately I think what we are saying is that 9/11 is profoundly personal. Each of us, if were old enough to remember, know where we were, what we were doing the day the attacks occurred. The attacks also shook the world, world markets, world travel, and any and all sense of security.   Profound sorrow was draped over our country and any nation that called us friend.  "Stay With Me" is another way of saying "hold me close", "we need each other", and as the track picture suggests "forget me not".    A big "thank you" to Debra for lavishing her talent on this very personal song.    More of her beautiful music can be heard @debra_buesking.

Missfeat (M&me) share a liking for electronic music since they were teenagers in the early 90's, one of them (Matt) under the funk hip hop influence and the other one (Mervyn) being rather pop electro. This is Copenhagen-based duo Baime's second EP on their own but the two Danes have already established themselves as solid players on the international scene. It is safe to say that these three tracks have been produced with a feeling of home in mind. There's a hopeful notion to the tracks, but with a hint of melancholy. Hope and lust for freedom, for dancing, and for community - and an almost painful aching at the same time.

"Basilike" and "Semele" are both powerful and personal in their expression, probably because the duo recorded the tracks using mostly analog gear and homemade percussion and drums. "Jabal", on the other hand, is inspired by the Middle East with an incorporated sound bit that leaves the listener feeling like "Jabal" could be a long lost cousin of Baime's earlier hit track "The Damned".

It's taken the duo one and a half years to finish this EP, and it's well worth the wait. These guys deliver quality over quantity and only release a track when it's been thoroughly tested, refined, and then vetted by other industry experts. Baime's latest release is not your regular run-of-the-mill electronic production. Instead, listeners should expect quality sounds, stellar percussion bits, and lots and lots of passion. It's just what we need to gear up for a brighter future.

My appetite for new sounds is undiminished and SC provides plenty of food. I am not a musician and have only recently started to listen positively to the sounds.
