Trance Mix

LAYMA JAKIN
Born on the southern coast of Spain in 1980. She started feeling attracted by electronic music around 1996, being one of the first female DJs on the south coast involved in breakbeat, techno, trance and trip hop scene at that time. In 1998 she joins Speed Records, which leads her to form part of the Global Beat and Panoramix Sound and share stage with the likes of Atoomic Hooligan, Lady K or Wally.
In 2002 she moves to the capital, where she evolves to other styles like electro/ minimal tech, never forgeting her origins; breaking rhythms, adapting them into techno´s hard side in her sets, were the diversity of styles and darkness play with sounds charged of brightnness. In 2007,  some months in Phrenetic Society, (old school djs academy)  improving her skills oriented by big ones like Elesbaan, David Gonzalez or Cristian Varela. 
Winner of The Dj room Contest by Vicious radio Mallorca.
Till date, she is part of Unclosed Records label from Madrid.

Bio

For many years I've been into music, DJing and music production. I started mixing when I was 14 on Citronic turntables, playing Uk hardcore, hard trance and occasionally a bit of D&B! I have always had a big passion for music! 

I went to college and completed a diploma in music technology covering all areas of music from live events, sound systems, production etc, but after I completed my course I didn’t focus on music production a lot as I got into Mcing and done this for 11 years doing all the big events in the UK such as west fest, hardcore heaven, HTID. Eventually I parted ways from the scene as I had accomplished everything I set out to do and my goals and visions changed.

I took a big gap from music and it wasn’t until late September 2022 I really thought i needed to dive back into music again so I bought a copy of FL studio and started making trance! Since then I have had some great success with the label Future Force, achieving my first number 1 release on beat port “Hold on to me” and a top 10 “Perfect Storm” which was great to see do so well being new to producing trance and a new name on the scene! 

I’ve also had releases on Faculty One, Audio Surgery and Emmanating Records and Juiced Digital
