Precious sonic souvenir from my debut explorations in China during the Music Magic World Tour earlier in the spring. Recorded live on a rainy sunday night at the best club in Shenzhen. I got scammed bad before my previous gig in Shanghai and I was trapped in the airport for 5 hours due to weather prior to arrival in Shenzhen. So I had to reach deep spiritually (no weed too smh) to position myself to deliver the vibes to the people regardless. Big proud with the outcome and I hope this 2hr bouquet makes your day better.

All reflected on a sequence of titles manifesting as a map through a heatwave of present and possible realities. Stepping in through S.O.N.S's 'Landing On The Unknown' moving through Sleep D's 'Sunrise In The Crater' and into Kuniyuki Takahashi's 'You Should Believe' before finally arriving at a tangible crest of our past inspiring present with Sunju Hargun's unique remix of Björk's Jóga.

A two hour journey through the utterly singular sound of Broadcast. Fronted by the late Trish Keenan, the Birmingham band melded the novel soundscaping of library music and early electronic experiments with their own sensitive take on indie rock and pop. Keenan's untimely passing in 2011 effectively ended the project - but a limited amount of previously unheard material has surfaced in the following years. 

This mix features classics and obscurities from across Broadcast's discography, including exclusive tracks featured in upcoming compilation "[Distant Call - Collected Demos 2000-2006](https://broadcast.bandcamp.com/album/distant-call-collected-demos-2000-2006)".

There are so many amazing North American DJs at the moment, and we think many will agree that Pittsburgh via Cleveland's @Kiernan-Laveaux is one of the most talented and intuitive selectors around right now. Every set, mix, and interaction is put together with a tangible sense of care, and we're honored to have her grace our mix series with a beautiful journey through melancholic dub and rhythmic introspection.

"Big thank you to SLINK for having me contribute to this series, I put something together that I wanted to be an equal embrace of bass weight, intricate percussion, headphones on solo nature walk/commute kind of thing. We're still within a cyclone of such a heavy time in life, and whether I want it to or not, that heaviness is really influencing all the music I'm listening to / DJing together. Lots of this reminds me of driving through fog, pushing branches aside in an overgrown path, views from the overcast skies with light peaking through. Forward but not linear, a metronome inside of pensive chaos. Thank you anyone who decides to listen and I hope this can provide some deep transportation or just good fun & comfort for you.
