‘We should really work together one day.’ There’s no bigger cliché to be heard in backstage areas, that mythical transit zone where producers and deejays meet, chat and then hop on their tour buses again. Belgian dance-act The Subs heroically plotted collaborations with fellow musicians in various dressing rooms across the globe. What is truly heroic is that in their case, those nightly encounters led up to actual music, and some damn fine music too.
‘Collaborations’ is a double EP on which The Subs joined forces with both iconic names and underground producers.
A month after the release of the first volume, The Subs present the second part of ‘Collaborations’. Part 1/2 consisted of tracks with Etienne de Crécy, John Roman, Shinichi Osawa and Hoshina Anniversary.

The sequel ‘Collaborations 2/2’ kicks off with ‘Body Memory’, a neo-French touch classic recorded with Alex Gopher. Gopher crossed paths with The Subs before , when he remixed the heavy ‘My Punk’ in 2009. His most recent appearance on Lektroluv dates back to last year, when he remixed Mumbai Science’s ‘Lotus’.
On so many occasions, The Subs have shared a bill with the mighty Zombie Nation, the band of Florian Senfter aka John Starlight. The forceful, military rhythm of ‘Outta Your Head’ is a shameless attack on the midriff.
The young  up-and-coming Belgian producer Blatan  collaborates on the playful EP closer ‘Electric Bodies’.

A new album is planned for 2014. With this EP however, The Subs confirm their firm roots in the club scene.

Since its original release earlier this year, Aruna's 'Reason To Believe' has gone on to be a stand out vocal for 2013. Now this sensational release returns with no less than 6 fresh new remixes to please any listener.

Having already received support from global megastar Tiesto & Armin van Buuren, the Paris Blohm remix of 'Reason To Believe' really is all that. Hot off his first original release with Enhanced - 'Lost In Me' - Paris Blohm injects a colossal amount of energy into his festival built drop whilst preserving Aruna's ethereal vocal. The future is bright for this young American talent!

Having made a huge impact with his remix of Juventa's 'Move Into Light', Toby Hedges teams up this time with High 5 for a punchy and melodic trance remix. From the heartfelt breakdown to the spine tingling drop, this duo has given this track a new dimension that it deserves. Support from Armin van Buuren on ASOT and Above & Beyond on ABGT!
 
Up next on remix duties is up and coming electronic producer - Fractal. Making a big name for himself in the scene with his ever-so-hard-to-categorise productions and collaborations with none other than BT, he provides some fresh and twisted beats while keeping the mix just as melodic as the original. Cleverly cutting Aruna's delicate vocals and using them to make his own approach to 'Reason To Believe', the Fractal remix makes for an excellent alternative to the Original.
 
Stars of Enhanced Progressive, Speed Limits have been recruited to give their own take of Aruna's anthem. No strangers to making beautiful melodies, this duo do just that. Accompanying their celestial sounding breakdown is a filtered kick drum which evolves into animated and summery lead. Another exquisite production from progressive outfit, Speed Limits.
 
Next in line to rework Steve Kaetzel's original mix is no other than Aruna herself. Having received a film scoring and electronic music production major at Berklee College of Music, Aruna displays yet again her diverse talents. The Aruna Chill Out Mix is the perfect blend of ambient sounds and melodies tailor-made for lazy Sundays. A remarkable piece of work from one of Enhanced's brightest stars!
 
Last, but absolutely not least on this collection of remixes is Aruna's very own live Red Room Sessions Acoustic Mix, a response to years of popular demand for a studio recording of her infamous unplugged Red Room Sessions videos. This is a one take live recording of Aruna tinkling the ivories – it’s beautiful, perfect and a fitting conclusion to this release.

Music is colorful, diverse and vibrant as the butterflies. Almost 180,000 different species live in 127 families. The music by Boris Brejcha is like a "Feuerfalter" (copper). On one side the butterfly is relaxing and floating on the wind, but on the other hand he also sets with steam and fire to a fall into a low altitude. This is how it feels when Brejcha makes music.

The fourth album is exactly the description of this "Feuerfalter", a kind of backflash into the impressive career of Boris Brejcha. An album that deliberately shows how the artist works versatile. Times slightly floating, sometimes wild hitting the wing, always full of passion. The influences of his travelings and performances characterize his art again.

This creates a music that may be accompanied on Brejchas audience the whole day: at home, in a relaxed atmosphere or just at night, when the trip through the clubs starts. On the album "Feuerfalter" this individuality is turned on. Brejcha even picks up the desire of his ans to weave a few quieter tracks into his cosmos.

This is the first time I am releasing an album as a physical product at the same time as a digital version. The second disc of the double CD set contains 13 additional tracks straight off the vinyl acetates that I composed and created in order to make legit sounding samples for A Color Map of The Sun.

Like always, the album is available in its entirety as a free download via prettylightsmusic.com. For the first time however, I encourage you to purchase a copy of the album. There are two honest reasons for this. The main reason is that as an artist I have always reinvested any success I have directly back into the music, the show and the art that goes along with it. Secondly, this isn't just an album; it is a massive collection of music beyond what is on the CDs that I will continue to put out after the album release. There is an insightful documentary film on the making of this project to be released alongside the launch of the album, as well as a music video for every song. They are all beautiful and uniquely unusual pieces of art.

This "album" is a multi-medium map of my mind and my self. It is personal and honest and I put everything into it. I have stayed on the path of being a completely independent musician and with the help of every supporter and friend, we have transformed a simple idea into a movement, a cultural beacon of light. If you can, I encourage you to purchase a digital or physical copy of A Color Map of the Sun. If not simply support by sharing the music and sharing the idea. If there is any success to be had from this album, it will go back into my rule bending, never ending quest to channel beauty and taste through music and art.
