Gustavo de León a.k.a. Alysha Kid, originario de la Ciudad de México, comenzó su carrera musical como baterista. La curiosidad por expandir su conocimiento musical lo lleva a interesarse en la escena electrónica nacional, durante este proceso descubre que las bases e influencias de ella se encuentran en el House de Chicago y que los beats a 4/4, bass lines, melodías y vocales contagiosos lograban satisfacer su oído y por supuesto su apetito musical.
Más adelante comienza a realizar sus primeros edits y tracks, los cuales en muy poco tiempo ha logrado colocar en disqueras importantes de la escena underground de la música house, como son Dufflebag Recordings, Tequila Trax y Coyote Cuts. Los tracks de Alysha Kid han sido tocados por djs internacionales como Mark Farina, Wally Callerio, Hugh Cleal, Giano, Karl Almaria y muchos más. 
Actualmente los Dj sets que Alysha Kid nos ofrece, fusionan una selección que nos lleva desde el Deep House hasta el Chicago House, proyectando lo más fresco y actual sin dejar atrás los ideales tracks clásicos que siempre encienden las pistas de baile.
Alysha Kid entiende que la evolución del House no tendrá fin y ahora sabe que este siempre formara parte de su historia.

After gracing the label with its third release back in 2017, Giammarco Orsini returns to Partisan with another salvo of razor sharp cuts precision-engineered for the floor.

 “Italia 90” speaks to Orsini’s Roman heritage with an infectious, melodic and punchy strain of early house music that slides neatly into the rubbery acid bass and twitching beat of “Achimal.” Opening up the B-side, “The Regresser” pivots around swinging 909 techno funk and plaintive synth lines that call to mind the classic sound of 90s electronica. The record wraps up with the muscular pulse of “Dmorning,” which matches a tough rhythm section with spacious atmospherics perfectly crafted for those late hours when the dance needs to be soothed as well as energised.  Matching classic motifs with a bold, crisp production style that sits comfortably in the ever-expanding Partisan catalogue.

Orsini once again proves himself to be a vital rising talent in the European house and techno scene.

My good friend and fellow man of music—Kevin Mills—brought to my attention, yet again, some music from the fabric of our lives that was severely overlooked and under-appreciated. 

The music for the game show The Price Is Right, didn’t just have a catchy theme song—famously remade by Paul Johnson and another version by Crystal Waters called “Come On Down”—the show also featured top-notch music for the interludes, showcase showdowns and many more. 

Absolute classic 1970s Black American Popular Musicianship was on full display on this game show during the Bob Barker days. 

Since Kevin Mills brought this to my attention, I sampled and reworked an interlude from the show and dedicated it to him.

Andrew Emil // Change Request 

A preeminent artist of Chicago's 3rd wave, Andrew Emil is one of house music’s most staunch stalwarts. A concert-trained percussionist since age 11, he earned a chair in his native Kansas City Symphony before eventually moving to Chicago. 

As a traditional musician, Andrew Emil has worked as a keyboardist, arranger, and an orchestrator on recording sessions and productions, cutting his teeth at the former Chicago Trax Recording Studios. 

Credited on over 200+ recordings, his composition and studio productions have ranged from concert works and sound design to film scoring stages and hundreds of releases of electronic music productions. 

After a life in live music performance, from orchestra percussion sections to punk rock ensembles, he crafted a reputation for House Music productions in Chicago under his own name, as well as Broadway & Wilson, and Uptown Tones. 

One of the earlier innovators of the “Jackin House” genre under the Broadway & Wilson moniker with Jeff Bloom, Andrew is never content to stay in one place or style of musical thought for very long. 

He is the only recording artist to do production work simultaneously for Derrick Carter’s Classic Music Company, Mark Farina’s Great Lakes Audio, Gene Farris’ Farris Wheel Recordings, and four-time GRAMMY nominee Steve “Silk” Hurley’s S&S Records.

A string of double-digit singles for prominent labels, including remixes for artists such as Common, Kanye West, Little Louie Vega, Jamie Principle, Steve "Silk" Hurley, Iz & Diz, Fast Eddie, Shalamar, Roland Clark, David Morales, Colette, Amp Fiddler, JT Donaldson, and Gene Farris, to name a few. 

2012 saw the emergence of his epithet, Change Request, with the Change Theory EP on four play music. This new persona allowed the freedom to explore hybrids of mid-tempo live instrument focused jazz-dance-fusion. 

Following this release was “After All” on Seasons Recordings, with another single thereafter featuring house music icon, Chez Damier, “I Wanna Go Back”, including a remarkable rework from Glenn Underground, on Glenview Records. 

The ever-growing collection of songs and musical dialogue eventually led to the conceptual album series from Change Request. Each full-length effort containing a completely separate story and scored via its own unique incidental subtext. 

Emil created AstraVox Music with the award-winning Los Angeles-based composer, Mr. Nathaniel, as a home for his increasing catalog of incidental dramatic musical compositions.
