Electronic duo Dear Humans release Fire: a protest song in support of the current Black Lives Matter movement, the proceeds from which will go to a charity fighting for change in the US.  

Music has always been the voice of change. True change requires Fire... and change is in the air. 

The new single from US-based duo comprising Corey Epstein and Alex Who?, "Fire" is a politically-charged electronic anthem-in-the-making. Rolling along on a mid-tempo beat, the range of Alex’s vocally from passionate restraint to barely contained rage give Fire a power and poignancy that cannot be ignored.

All proceeds from the sale of Fire will be donated to the charity Color Of Change, the  US’s largest online racial justice organization. As a national online force driven by 1.7 million members, they help persuade decision-makers in corporations and government to create a more human and less hostile world for Black people in America. Being able to be assumed as the most radical humankind's intervention in the landscape, the city is generically a cluster of buildings, processes and people. According to United Nations, almost two-thirds of the world's population will live in cities by 2050. Thus, cities are the places where people live most of the time, but they should not be understood only as material urban heritage, otherwise, where would the driving forces coming from solidarity social relations fit in? Modestly, we took the theme of cities as an incentive to venture into the real world experiences and to celebrate the label's fifth year anniversary date. The compilation maintains the weekly release format and has three sub-themes: 'manhã' (morning), 'tarde' (afternoon) and 'noite' (night). Each one bringing the interpretations of the artists to the different situations of the city as the activities unfold during a whole day.

To a limited extent, humans depend on cities for the civilizing process. The space where people move, whether by car or on foot, is the dizzying essence of all this cultural dimension that allows the humanization of cities. It is the space where we meet, where we dream, where we sit, where we talk, where we express ourselves collectively. Stage for everyday life and also for funerals, processions, demonstrations, big parties. The joys and pains are inside the houses but they also have their projections flying over the cities, stimulating diverse movements towards the union of contrasting communities. Therefore, the compilation's intentions are focused on the nuances between Urbanism, Anthropology, Urban Sociology and any themes that we have omitted here for lack of words or knowledge.

Relaxed, alert, zombified, energized or 'just want to hide under the blanket'? Ignoring mornings in which you’re sick or otherwise abnormal, what are your typical mornings like? Some people wake up energy-wise, excited to start their day. Others like to ease into their day more gradually, although they still maintain their mind racing into the future. Some people just left work due to their nighttime jobs. This all involves a gigantic spectrum of circumstances but undoubtedly everyone approaches their morning differently. Therefore, it was also expected that the package of tracks would have been upright under several stanzas, after all, multiplexing it's all about our annual compilation MUX.

The enigmatic Swedish duo @Elfenberg have gradually shed their cloak of mysteriousness to become familiar faces on the international scene. Since the birth of the act in 2017, Viktor and Henrik’s tunes have established them on both charts and festival lineups across the globe. The Swedes have also become key members of Oliver Koletzki’s Stil Vor Talent family since releasing their first EP with them early 2018. Elfenberg can not be defined by any genre but by a steady groove created in a primitive soundscape. A sound that embodies constant motion, spiralling into whatever creative vision the duo have in mind. In September 2019, they became proud owners of their own imprint, ‘Trampoliner’.

In regard to this special edit, they had the following to share with us...

'We've known Stankfejs (@klovvik), or Viktor (yes all swedes are named Viktor) since way back. We met musically through disco and started mixing together. We threw a series of parties as well, called; Late Night Groove. When we got our first booking requests, our beloved Stankfejs started handling those. Later on, Viktor moved abroad, and we continued on our end. We still have our group chat going, where we send music to each other, ideas, bits and sounds. This time Viktor came across a sequence from a Bollywood film called Thanedaar. We were completely stunned with the production and the number of people dancing flawlessly throughout the scene, pure joy for the eye. We agreed the song could use a slight push, so we sprinkled some magic over it and put a cherry on top, making it dancefloor-ready, so to speak. We find Bappi Lahiri and the movie brilliant and are grateful for Stankfejs encouraging discovery.
