Whilst he may be a fresh name to some, Russian producer Maksim Dark has already impressed the likes of Dubfire and Richie Hawtin with his fearless, groovy brand of techno, and the SCI+TEC boss has already tempted us with an early introduction to the ACIDSTAGE Ep via his recent Boiler Room set. 

Staying true to his name, Maksim Dark, our latest debutant has delivered 4 tracks of shadowy minimal goodness, each featuring the artist on demonic vocal duties. From the driving synth groove and white noise washes of ‘Bassewiser’ and the stripped bare, linear sounds of ‘Coneblower’ to the bubbling and yet biting sounds of title track ‘Acid Stage’ and sci-fi squeals and ominous chords of closing number ‘Harpsichord’, we’re given the perfect introduction to this exciting young artist.

Yves Grey is an upcoming Portuguese producer based in the UK. The London based artist moved from Lisbon to Leeds when he was 19 to pursue his studies in music production. During that time, he experimented with a variety of genres in a quest to find his musical identity, eventually finding his passion for Techno. His production, while broadly focused on Techno, is heavily influenced by ambient and cinematic music, drawing inspiration from artists such as Hans Zimmer and Vangelis. Now at 23 years of age he remains focused, ambitious, and humble as his journey through music progresses. He now looks to prove why he's a name to watch in the next generation of electronic artists.

Two tracks release:

"Control" - Inspired by psychedelic trance, 'Control' showcases the raw but melodic side of Yves's sound. The title track is an immersive roller with intense hypnotic synth effects and galloping beats.
"Elevate" is an atmospheric track with uplifting pads and a rolling bass line which captivates the listener as it progresses with the intent on energizing clubrooms within presence.

After his contribution to Kuukou’s Passengers vol.4 George Adi returns to Kuukou for his Gravity EP comprising two original tracks, with Jannowitz Records own BOHO and Rachel Raw in charge of the remix.
Gravity is an inviting track that stays true to its name: floating pads and a subtle, restrained lead cross path with a levitating bassline, giving rise to an electrifying peak and resolve. BOHO and Rachel Raw take on Gravity’s spaciousness, amping its unobtrusive yet entrancing lead. Grave pads and ominous synths complete the soundscape, giving off a more nervous alternative. Second track Desert is a less nervous, more straightforward techno track with heavy-hitting drums and a lingering lead that feels both fresh and familiar.

Having released under the aliases of Motion Unit and D-Saw. Produced together with and for, Oliver Huntemann and worked on remixes for the likes of the Chemical Brothers, Underworld and Extrawelt, january  2009 saw Andre release his first solo single on Ideal. 'Trauma' was an instant success and after a break to produce Oliver's third studio album, Andre returned with his track 'Helene' on Terence Fixmer's From Jupiter label and 'Dogma' with us again at ideal.   Hatzler is a name to watch. Having produced early productions for labels including Confused and Spiel-Zeug and released as part of Motion Unit, he took a break for many years to concentrate on musical genres other than techno. Working as a sound-designer, production developer and soundtrack composer, it was this break and building a studio that gave him a fresh outlook and ideas for when he returned to his own productions.   Today's release opens with the title track and 'Gallopper' goes off at more of a groovy trot. A fat kick drum and menacing bassline coupled with a cheeky vocal stab lead the way as a warped key melody enters, a a tightly coiled breakdown then drops back to the killer groove.   Next up we board the 'Train To Tsavo', and our dark ride takes off at a good pace. As our techno runaway settles into its groove its trippy, steel-drum-like melody twists and turns throughout, but never want to get off this ride.
